Flash Chat

Well i've just spent the whole mornig installing FlashChat and it's kind of working. I haven't integrated it into the site yet, ie it's stand alone. You have to enter a username but not a password (i think) once it's integrated it'll just log you in if you are already logged into the site.

This may be a bit far fetched, but can you post images in there? Or can you post 'drawn' stuff using graphics tablets? that could help for showing stuff- maybe theres a plugin that could run alongside allowing a shared whiteboard, msn style??

Also, is there any webcam support? Could be cool- a Rev tangle workshop via the chat area Sphism/gigglesmiley

hmm, you can upload your own background images so you could get an image to someone that way i think. I should be able to modify to code quite a lot cos it's all in flash.

you can send files to other people so you can send something that you've drawn on or a pic.. can't do it in the app, just send it through the app..

Matt- Anyway the flash chat could have a 'whos chatting now' wondow linked to the main site? I drop in every now and again but haven't spotted anyone except you and Rev and Garthy very briefly.

I'm sure if poiple could see who was about they would go. Also- could the 'who's online' list be made to have an option to invite someone ionto the flash chat (perhaps sending an automated PM saying x has invited you to join the flash chat at xx:xx time and date). Could also be handy Sphism/gigglesmiley

well I was thinking that now that we have the chat program.. anyone can access anyone else.. and set up times when they can meet.. because otherwise its hit and miss.. just look at the different times when people post on topics.. that's the amount of time we are typically mising each other by..

however if you try to work out a time with someone then it makes it loads easier.. I was going to have a certain time when I logged in, but I'm not sure what time would be best for others..
