The new years resolutions Topic!

Quite late for one, but if anyone has made one. Have you kept it?
I have, but mine was only to read more.

Nah, I don't bother, they're generally pretty pointless. You can't just decide out of the blue to make serious changes unless you genuinely want to change. There are scientific studies showing that New Year's resolutions are less likely to be kept than lifestyle changes at any other time Sphism/smilesmiley

That's really intresting.
I'm liking mine, wish I had started reading more earlier. :41

well , mine is 1....something personal *laugh slightly*, but 2. to focus my year on the personal thing and on poi. just go all out on poi, perfecting, learning new styles and patterns.... so yah. kudos to all you poiples keeping up your resolutions! :43 i'm going places this year :43 and not looking back

-Kid-

Mine was to stop biting my nails. *examines fingers momentarily* Oh well, guess that didn't work...

Actually I did say this year I was going to try and not injure myself at parties... last year I cut my face open and bruised my ribs on three separate occasions being bollocksed and stupid at parties Sphism/gigglesmiley

Unfortunately the party I was at last weekend some bright spark had spilled a barrel of oil in one of the back rooms and so I managed to go arse over tit later on and cut my elbow open

Not really a resolution I admit, more just common sense Sphism/gigglesmiley

I used to make resolutions to work harder academically- three years at A-level and a current repeat of my second year philosophy degree should tell you how well those went Sphism/smilesmiley

Re: not injuring yourself, I think I may set up a sister thread on Poi and Pissed Injuries- I dread to think what I'll get in the way of response, but i have a few good (if cringeworthy) tales Sphism/winksmiley

Chut

owie. Man if I were you I'd be avoiding parties.
Alcohol is the leading cause of unexplained rug burns or the forhead.
