There are so many similarities between 2 diabolo and poi. Like 2 diabolo 'Fan' is a poi 'Buzzsaw'. So poi spinners should be able to get the hang of Fan's pretty quickly. Then of course turning your forwards fan to a backwards fan is exactly the same as with poi. It's also very similar to infinite tangles and tangle turning with Poi.

You can also kinda catch your diabolos in the string, 1 at the end of each stick (holding the string so the dibabolo sits in a little loop) and you end up with a mini meteor with diabolos for end weights. When you get in this position you will be able to do any poi move you like. I've only ever seen diabolists doing a bit of 2 beat weave, or a quick butterfly. Instead of just doing a 2 beat weave, why not 3, 4, or 5 beat weave, or even something a little more advanced like some nice butterfly turns.

Now the thing is once you get to this position with 2 diabolo, you have limited time (the diabolos slow down) and your planes must be spot on (otherwise the diabolos twist off the string)...But as poi spinners i think we can help the diabolists out a little....

Likewise the diabolists have helped us poi spinners out. The term 'hyperloop' in poi comes from diabolo and works on a similar principle.

Spherculism is all about exploring the similarities between different forms of movement. This forum is pretty weak, but then it's also pretty new. Also it's hard for me to really push it because I don't know that many diabolo players. But i'm 100% confident that this forum will become a great resource for pushing certain diabolo styles forward. In particular the poi style moves.

But also just generally encouraging diabolists to practice all directions, using their left hands for stuff and perhaps even a little dancing
