Rev- practice- 9-23-05

yes it a vid.. before you get excited, there's a few things you need to know.. thanks to hurricane rita, I cant go outside.. so I had to film indoors, where I had no room to dance.. I made this as a preface to a series of tuts I'm going to shoot on a lot of the stuff in the film: bf inversions; splithreads; sd inversions (first and second degree); utl; atl; tosses into one handed; tosses out of one handed; one handed passes, weaves, and wraps.. so I left out a lot of things like wraps.. (I think glowstringers need to see more poi anyway.. they see wraps all the time)

the lighting is bad... and the focus was screwed.. I still havent learned all the nifty features of my camera..

so is there any reason to watch it? yes, because you finally get to see me flow a little.. (in some places anyway)

Wow,,, thats some mighty fine poi goin on there, how long you been spinnin? Sphism/gigglesmiley

a little more than 2.5 years..

Really? Were you glow sticking before that (or do you not differentiate..) Oh god I wish i hadn't said nything now Sphism/smilesmiley

2.5 years? shit man that's crazy

glowsticking is poi.. anyone that tells you different is either unknowledgeable of the truth, or in denial to placate their ego...

glowsticking is different from traditional poi.. but then again, most forms of poi are different from traditional poi..

but I've been spinning since feb/mar of 2003.. I've been around spinners a lot longer than that.. how long you've been spinning doesnt matter.. its how well you understand what you are doing... the better your grasp of the whole frameowrk of poi, the better your skills will get.. by far..

Sphism/gigglesmiley yeh i know what ya mean, I invested in some sock poi yesterday after reading a few articles on here,

(now you`ll have to have patients with me because I have a very feable abount of knowledge on the names of moves lol.)

i learned a move, its like, a buzzsaw inside your arms, same direction spin, but, your hands move like peddling a bike?..

and one handed butterfly and a few other lil touch ups, but the point is, if you approach poi with the right mind set then you will advance more,,
obviously you need to practise as i do every wakin moment hehe

anyway enuff of me rambling on,,sorry if i made little or no sense ,,lol
