Nice idea chutney, i'm back from bristol / exeter, had a great time, back in brighton and catching up on things slowly.

Got my passport back, sent off for new driving license, trying to figure out how to get a NZ work visa, tidied my flat, got someone coming to see it on friday

So things are looking up,

I always used to use cable fire poi because they have negiligible weight, unlike chain which bends all over the place and has less control.

However, that was pre-tangle and pre-wibbles, cables suck for both which is why i moved to all rope firepoi, however i don't like using them anymore either cos i'm in love with my super heavy weight sock poi.

Damn it...

You see already have chains but needed new heads, so I thought I would go with cables for the choice. I heard that cables aren't very good but hey let's see what happens. I've been busy sorting out my new zealand visa, turns out they've recently doubled it to 2 years, woot

My brother out there has just rented a wicked new house, with garden and vegi plot.

I've also been capturing lots of footage that i took over the summer and i've got plenty of cool stuff for the dvd.

Other than that i've not worked for weeks, bit concerned that my finances will run out soon, but hey, i've been having fun for the first time in ages so it's all good.

heh its good to see all the names again. I've been uber busy too recently with airforce applications and work and whatnot, been spured on recently so should be seeing more of me soon =) wether you want it or not hehe >.<

Well I've just not been spinning poi really for the last five months, so I've not been hanging around poi forums so much... But things are good and I've been doing a wee bit of spinning again the last week or two, and so I'm reacquainting myself here

I'm guessing not I was actually planning on coming down, but had to go see a man about a dog if you know what I mean...

Yay, hello Nat,

I'm so glad poiple are here. I sent out the group email last night. I hadn't done it before because i remember setting the default setting when you sign up to "don't send me news letters".

So i thought i couldn't write to everyone. However I found out that i can do it a different way. Today i'm super happy. Now i wonder if that blasted gallery module works. I'll see if i can get a few nice videos up on line for everyone to enjoy.

Well when you get up tomorrow i will have finished uploading a few nice little freestyle videos, especially for you. If the gallery module works i'll put them in there, if not i'll just bung them on a server somewhere and post the links.

When I first got the music for the dvd i spent a night dancing to all the tracks to figure out which ones i liked the most. I kinda limited my freestyling on each tune, eg the tune that's rendering right now is nice simple butterflyies and weaves, no really tricky stuff, just nicely in time to music. Some of the other tracks are mainly behind the back, or tangles, or wibbles and so on. Sweet, just finished rendering the first one,

ello everyone.. good to see some activity on here again! Sorry to hear you're not feeling to good Taniwha...

My forum use has been drooping off to basic essentials lately as i've been so busy sorting other stuff out like spinning, making new toys, helping out Play Festival and sorting out Burnt Toast while Durbs is away. We performed a hastily thrown together show at the Firegathering last week and have got some more stuff lined up for the summer we've been working on. Also Tom's been building a new website www.burnttoast.co.uk, if you can give us any feedback it'd be much appreciated....
