Greetings from Dag!

Hello everyone,

I'm Cornelius Johnson from Salt Lake City, UT, USA (2002 Winter Olympics... *sigh*... Roots hats everywhere!!). I was born in Easton, PA on December 7th, 1982 (Pearl Harbor Day in the US, year * 2.... thats how I remember it anyway...). My family moved around a bit when I was little, but I've been in Utah for 11 years or so.

My friend Moses introduced me to glowstringing about 8 months ago. Everything I've I know of glowstringing or poi in general I've learned from or by experimenting with my friends (that includes you Muppet). The Internet has been immensely helpful in providing inspiration and information and I'm so very glad to have found this site!

From the posts I've read on here, everyone seems to be very cool and I look forward to getting to know you all better. It kinda sucks that there are a lot of members who haven't posted anything yet, but perhaps that'll change.

Oh, I musn't forget to thank matt for putting this site together and also sharing his knowledge of poi so intelligently. *high five* :-)

-Dag

P.S. Cornelius Johnson -> Corndog -> C-Dog -> Dag (it makes sense of you've seen the movie Snatch... promise! )

Welcome in Spherculism !!

I hope this site will continue to help you in glowstringing !!

Hello Sphism/smilesmiley

Lurkers are a fact of life on any forum... apart from one I'm on which deletes people that haven't posted within the last few months Sphism/winksmiley

Wow spiralx, that sounds a bit fascist  There are plenty of poiple posting, it's great. It's big enough that i can no longer keep an eye on everything.

Poiple who dont post won't learn as much as those who do, they will not progress as quickly and they shall not recieve my undivided attention.

It's a form of natural selection. Also you'll find that not everything on spherculism is easily accessible, there will be certain things that will only be found by hunting through the forums.

If you put in the effort ~ it will be rewarded.

Yep, I do kinda like that idea. But I would rather have a kind of VIP section, where anyone who puts in a bit of effort will find it and be greatly rewarded.

But then that's kind of how it works anyway. I have deliberately not put massive descriptions on the videos themselves, so you gotta look through the forums for up to date information.

Also I doubt I'll put up this new meteor video for general viewing, there'll just be a subtle little link to it somewhere, a little treat for all you lot who actually make this site what it is.

As you say it's all about building a community as much as a resource Sphism/smilesmiley Don't worry, I'm sure this site will soon have its own in-jokes and so on to confuse newbies Sphism/gigglesmiley

Huh? Sphism/winksmiley
