belated hello

Hey, I've been on this site for a while, but haven't been on in a while.
Mostly I've been reading stuff on HoP, but after getting a recommendation from Duballstar and Chutney to read some of the 'good technical shiznit' Sphism/winksmiley on here, I've been trying to be a bit more active!

I've been doing poi for a little under 2 years now, and am still completely obsessed! I've been branching out a little into some other 'disciplines' over that time, but poi is still my favourite prop. I love pretty much all styles (socks/fire/glow/technical/dance/etc) much as I like a lot of different types of music, so long as there's some substance to it.

I'm based in Cambridge, UK so anyone about on the weekend and up for a spin should drop me a line about our sunday meets.

So ummm, hello, and hugs sent out to the people I've met already! Sphism/gigglesmiley

hey guy... welcome to the sphercular land of spherculy spherculism! :22

the moves threads are definately worth browsing here, i think the one i was talking to you about is jon's 'theory of movement' over in the freestyle section. the nice thing about sherculism is that you get the chance to bounce ideas around with a small bunch of excellent inventive spinners without getting lost in all the clamour and babble of hop...

...enjoy! Sphism/gigglesmiley

cheers dub! Sphism/gigglesmiley One of the first things I did was look up that thread after Brixton. Rev and I have been bouncing ideas of each other and come up with some fairly interesting results!

how about a theory of movement workshop/seminar at play then>? Sphism/winksmiley

Sphism/gigglesmiley you'll be lucky mate I'm not sure I can apply it to spinning yet, I just get the basic concepts.

Anyway, I reckon it's better explained while chilling with a cup of tea and a smoke than in a workshop! Sphism/winksmiley

sounds like a seminar to me then! seeing as play lasts 5 days we could put aside time for these spliff an tea based discussion meetings... Sphism/gigglesmiley
