There is one more video on the way, typical it's the longest one, took 50 minutes to compress then i started uploading it and found i'd made a typo in the name, doh. So it's re rendering now and will be uploaded in half hour or so. It's the second wibbling video and is pretty sweet.

weird tho cos works for me in all my players, odd. I've got the codec as part of the K-lite codec pack (i think that's what it's called) Wicked pack tho, only problem is there's so many codecs with oodles of setting you need a lifetime to figure out what's best.

No no i understand exactly what you mean, no clip needed.

First off i prefer 2wibbling split time because (believe it or not) there is just enough time to devote all your attention to each wibble whilst the other is in the air.

When doing them same time (either spinning opposite or same directions) you have to focus on making both wibbles at teh same time. I find this harder but some poiple find it easier. Depends how your brain works i guess.

So to learn the split time version:

first put both poi into a wibbling position. ie palms facing upwards, poi heads hanging down on the inside

wibble 1 to the back of the same hand. ie push up and over the poi head in an arch shape, twist your hand over as you make the arch, the head spins round, MISS THIS, then the handle will come round, CATCH THIS (right hand would spin anticlockwise, left clockwise)

the catch position is on the BACK of your hand and the poi head will be hanging down on the outside. Always try to make your catches s close to the SWEET SPOT as possible. (The sweet spot is about a hands width from the counterweighted handle and is the point at which the poi head won't pull the poi off your hand)

Then you get the whole lot under control.

Do the same with the other hand, wibble it from the front to the back of your hand.

Now you will have both palms DOWNWARDS with the poi heads hanging down the outsides of your hands. If you are in any toher position go back and start again (usually people make the catch to early or late, remember MISS the head CATCH the handle)

So now you're ready to wibble them back the other way. So start with which ever you started with last time. Push UP and OVER the head (right hand would be going clockwise, left anticloskwise)

MISS the HEAD, CATCH the handle

Get everything under control

Repeat with the other hand and you should be bak to the initial start position

Repeat this for ages

GRADUALLY speed up

SO that's pretty much it. But bare in mind that wibbling 1 poi is infinitely diverse and challenging. It took me 2 years to discover everything i could do with 1 before 2wibbling. Then it only took me a week to take every pattern i could throw poi in, and apply that pattern to my 2wibbling patterns.

Every step you take in your poi progression should be pretty easy, none of its hard, unless you try to progess too far too early.

good, glad to be of service.

But there shouldn't really be a problem going out of time because you should be practicing 1 bit at a time. wibble right hand, control and stop, wibble left hand, control and stop, wibble right, stop, left, stop and so on.

By controling i mean getting both poi into the perfect wibbling position. Index finger on the sweet spot.

By 'stop' i mean both poi are hanging down without moving, at all. To do this move your hand towards the head and down.

Once you can make the catch, control and stop look like it's just the catch, you are ready to start blending the wibbles together. ie just before 1 poi is 100% stopped and under control you toss the other one.

I know it looks like i'm doing wibble, wibble, wibble, wibble and so on but actually i'm doing wibble control and stop, wibble control and stop, wibble control and stop, wibble control and stop, etc

If you look thru the wibbling vids they'll be a few times where i'm 2wibbling and i stuff up the timing (usually a dodgy throw after a dodgy catch) You'll notice i can recover from this because i can slow down the control and stop bit of the process. ie even tho they look like they are bouncing all over the place at any time i can just stop what i'm doing. I think thats a very important wibbling skill to learn. It's just an illusion that they are bouncing out of control.
