Hi people, i got into poi through my lovely poi queen Sharon a year ago. I began in sunny Luang Prabang in Laos which made it even nicer!
I love bubbles and stomping acid techno. I was trying to learn contact juggling before poi but it just wasn't as much fun and the kinetics of poi are deliciously hypnotic.
I've yet to master the reverse 5 beat but I've recently got into wraps in a big way. One day I hope to do a hyperloop but I reckon that's in the distant future (and with lots of help).
Hope to get down to a meet sometime and respect to all the twirlers out there.

i was in thailand last year....and soooooooooo many peeps we met up with kept tellin us how kool laos was...sadly we didn't have enuff time to make it up there...

Nice to be here and hello back to you all. Laos was lovely and if you want to chill and experience freakyness then I recommend it. It is desperately poor and doesn't have lots to do but we had some lovely times. Thanks to French colonialism you can get fresh baguettes in the towns and the people are really friendly. The legacy of all the US bombing missions is really sad though. Lots of trees, very bumpy roads and travel sickness prone locals.
As for the war for oil, wouldn't it be nice to have the war money being spent on getting alternatives to oil? Maybe it's just me being all logical and sensible.
I'm in Tottenham ( moving soon to Walthamstow) and lets face it - poi is just more fun than contact juggling which is why poi wins every time.
The bad news is that a red boat has hit a blue boat in the Pacific. All the sailors were marooned. Boom! Boom!

I heard that if you took 10% of the money that the US and UK spend on nuclear weapons reserach you could send every child on the planet to school, including the cost of building the schools and training the teachers.
