Here's some things that Mr Chutney kindly pointed out:
The most recent poster is almost always wrong on the forums (A fall out of the migration?) yes that's a problem with the migration, in the main forum list it works but in the individual forum lists i'm not sure it does. best thing to do is go thru and mark all forums as Read.
Posting in a thread instantly flags all posts un=der that section as new, unread posts on the forum list). not sure quite what you mean

PM buttons in the wrong place: i've spent hours tryiing to fix this and i just can't figure out how the damn thing works, it's so weird.

My graphic signature- I currently don't have anything in the profile signature text, so somewhere in my migrated profile the signature data has been carried across and I can't change it or turn it off- please could you have a look?

yeah the profile signatures are now being controlled by something outside the phorum, so the integration needs a bit of work. will investigate.

The main system lets you change user name but it seems that the phorum doesn't

Matt- the last post, most recent posts thing is really squiffy and is putting me off ATM--
forums which have been migrated appear with no new posts or topics until one is posted in, (by me- the member) and then the whole section comes alive with hundreds of new threads and posts (though these are only 'awakened' there is no new content.)
Make any sense? Does this happen is ou create a completely new user and start from scratch in the new system?

Hi Chutney, the thing to do is go thru and hit 'mark forum read' for al the forums, but this is a pain.
There is a way to make 1 button that 'marks all forums read'. Would that be good
The problem is that the new instalation doesn't know when you last logged in to the old system.
It definitely needs looking at you're right,

Yep, i've been meaning to sort this out for a while now, i'll look into it as soon as i can.
It's weird how it works so that it only comes to life after you've been in there the first time, but i think that's just the way it is.

Clicking on a member present on the site (bottom right) and then clicking on the private message option from their profile gives an error- page not found.

will be looking at the signature issue really soon.
that kind of image tag will never work here tho..
we should be able to make it possible to link to an image in the gallery thought.

Thanks for taking a look at it, i think that signature of mr chutneys is from the old forum and i'm not sure he even has access to change it on the new phorum.
I'm a bit busy this week but will try to have a look at a few things in a coupla days.
