Defined ~ Hipmill

A weave type move performed with the hands held still at one hip, with the poi making circles in the front and back wall planes.

Do other poiple do this, or is it just a strange idiosyncracy?

It's pretty much just a 2-beat wall-plane weave, I do it as part of a waist wrap but not on its own.

Sounds like you could also call it half (2/3 really) of a lower fountain to me. This is both hands at the same hip, right?

Seems equally valid to think of it as either a wall-plane weave or a windmill done at the hip. It's a question of how we want to define things. Would we want to think of all wall-plane moves as windmills? I think that'd be kind of limiting. But on the other hand, it'd get to be a pain to describe every move in terms of its elements all the time. 'Windmill' is easier than 'Overhead wall-plane weave' for example.

Seems like this'd be one of the issues we'll have to address in putting together the Encyclopoidia.

(And yes, I've used this Sphism/gigglesmiley)

Hehe I use these all the time, love em, simply love em, anyways. Yes it would become a bit of a pain to put descriptions of aaaaallllllll of them, but in the long run I think it would be more rewarding. Hmm as for defining a hipmill--------

A variation of the windmill done in the z-plane with hands at your hips instead of above the head........... thats how I'd see it anyways.

windmill done at waist or split time hip reel Sphism/gigglesmiley

those are wall planes.. I wouldn't refer to them differnt..

Well I'm afraid we all have dif opinions on that... which is why we should definitally come to a decision on defining the planes for Spherculism......

no.. I mean we just referred to that as spinning in wallplanes..

that's my opinion.. Sphism/winksmiley

Hipmill

A 2 beat wall plane weave done where the centre of rotation of the poi is next to one of your hips.

No arguements here Sphism/smilesmiley

Guess it works for me too.
