Defined ~ Forwards Spin

Define ~ Forwards Spin

Forwards spin

In the wheel plane if your poi was a spoke in a wheel the wheel would roll forwards.

Comments

When your poi is spinning in the wheel plane and at the top of its circle it is travelling forwards.

Forwards spinning is when the poi move down in front of you and come up behind you when spun at your sides.

The opposite of reverse spinning Sphism/gigglesmiley

If your poi were a wheel it would roll forwards

[quote="matt"]If your poi were a wheel it would roll forwards

Good analogy. Sphism/smilesmiley

When both of your poi is spinning forwards.

when the poi spin down and away from you in front and up from the bottom in back.. like everyone else said..

i think the wheel runs away with it...someone must've left it on a hill! ~groan~

Wow, it's harder to define than you'd think isn't it Sphism/gigglesmiley
Those definitions all work for wheel plane

In wall plane you can define as "clockwise" or "anticlockwise" as forward and backward stop making sense then...

(edited for idiocy that hopefully noone noticed :rollSphism/smilesmiley

Forwards spin

In the wheel plane if your poi was a spoke in a wheel the wheel would roll forwards. In wall/ceiling planes your left hand poi will be going clockwise and your right hand poi anticlockwise when you look at them.

Can't use forwards and backwards for wall and ceiling plane because they are spinning equally forwards and backwards.

Forwards spin

In the wheel plane:

If your poi was a spoke in a wheel the wheel would roll forwards.

In wall/ceiling planes your left hand poi will be going clockwise and your right hand poi anticlockwise when you look at them ~ That's only true when you consider the front wall plane and top ceiling plane. For Behind wall plane and Floor plane the opposite is true, so it's not a good description. Clockwise and Counter Clockwise never seemed like a good idea to me.

Plus what about when you spin butterflys in the wheel plane ~ IMO you gotta use inwards and outwards spin for butterfly type patterns. I.E

Inwards Spin:

When Poi spinning in opposite directions:
If you poi were 2 spokes on 2 wheels then the wheels would roll in towards you.

Outwards Spin:

When Poi spinning in opposite directions:
If you poi were 2 spokes on 2 wheels then the wheels would roll out away from you.

As for the ceiling plane i have no idea

Now i'm compleely confuddled :27

¦m¦

I like the definitions for inwards/outwards, fits in with the ones for forwards/backwards. Should probably make a note that inwards/outwards are still sometimes referred to as forwards/backwards though Sphism/winksmiley

As for ceiling... same as for wall, but with you looking up? Sphism/smilesmiley

Ooph....hmmmmmm...well I definitally like matt's definition for forwards spin, agreeing with the issue on wall and ceiling... but now we are gonna have a whole nother discussion....ooph....[stretches fingers, getting ready]

Ok, now I'm scared! Sphism/gigglesmiley

*bump*

Forwards spin

In the wheel plane if your poi was a spoke in a wheel the wheel would roll forwards.

and similarly..

Reverse spin

In the wheel plane if your poi was a spoke in a wheel the wheel would roll backwards.

Yup yup. Alls good here. Settled I spose.
