Defined ~ Outwards Spin
Define ~ Outwards Spin
I'd like to hear some definitions for this term, then we'll refine the definition and finally once poiple are agreed we'll add it to the Poidia.

Defined ~ Outwards Spin
Same as reverse, only mainly used when talking about spinning in front or behind you ( wall plane / z plane). If you spin both poi outwards in front of you they go up as the get closer and they go down as at the edge furtherest from the other poi.
Defined ~ Outwards Spin
When spinning any of the butterfly family moves, outwards spinning is when the right-hand poi is moving clockwise and the left-hand poi is moving anti-clockwise.
edit: edited for increased accuracification

Defined ~ Outwards Spin
When spinning in front of you in the wall plane, the poi come up in the middle and go down on the outside.
(Yay, redundancy! )

wow I always refered to the inward spin as being the arc of the spin that heads toward the body.. while the outward spin was the half of the cirlce that spins away from you.. regardless of direction... as in.. they connect during the inward spin.. well I guess it depnds on the plane.. for instance in a wall plane, when doing a flower you can airwrap on the inward spin, but petal out on the outward spin..
I've also used it to designate when you can do certain transitions and what not..
I guess its a regional thing though...

Neat stuff. Maybe we could create another term for that? Towards and Away Spins? Coming and Going Spins? I dunno...

Hehe why not?

I don't think new terms.. I just think add a clarification.. because I never discussed and outward spin on the whole or and inward spin on the whole.. only "during the inward spin" or "during the outward spin"

I suggested creating new terms because I think that both interpertations are valid and useful. But it seems too confusing to keep both meanings on one term.
If someone can come up with a good way to keep them the same, I'm all for it.

the reason I say don't add a new term is because this term is already use d in a certain way and adding a new term isn't really going to change that.. you know.. I think it should be set as
1) definition 1
or can be used as
2) definition 2
and let people try and apply it to context of the situation... obviously they willnot be sused in the same context.. and thus we define it like we do all other words with multiple meanings..

[=cyan]Outwards Spin
When spinning any of the butterfly family moves, outwards spinning is when the right-hand poi is moving clockwise and the left-hand poi is moving anti-clockwise.
Although this term is more accurate for butterfly moves, the term reverse spin is also used to describe this.[/spin]
