I can't really decide. I get a free ticket 'ccos i teach poi to kids up in the kids field ~ 2 hours a day for 3 days, pretty sweet.
I'd rather go to some other british festival though, but i dunno. I can only really escape work for 1 festi ~ then i leave the country for 4 or 5 weeks in september. Usually i go to burningman, last year i went to samothraki and this year i dunno. If i get over to burningmna again this year then i'll definitely wanna meet up with some of you poiple over there.
So i dunno, i usually go, and i love it. But most of the music is pretty lame, and the commersialism sucks. The green fields rock and i know loads of poiple who'll be there so i dunno.

But I totally agree that it's gone far too commercial. Although it means there are less people, many of the ones who do go these days are complete idiots wanting to get pissed, sunburnt shag in a tent and take loads of drugs. I've been going for a while and the general atmosphere has changed quite a lot. The experience isn't as spiritual as it used to be for me anymore... but it doesn't mean that I still don't enjoy it and the greenfields still rock.

I'm deffinately going...but all those folks out there booking tickets be prepared before you book. They can ONLY be booked with a Debit card, credit cards are not accepted. You can only book them on the phone or at the aloud website. Go here for more details. They go onsale 8pm 1st April. Be there or be square.
And as for it not being as good, Glasto is what YOU make of it. It's the best festival in the UK by far. Since the necessary evil of the fence made it's appearance most of the assholes have gone, and certainly stay out of the greenfields mostof the time.
If anyone wants to camp up together I usually arrive 9am wednesday morning so come to greenfields and look for me. I'll be the tall guy with the pois near the top bridge just before it turns into steep hill!

Yeah Raymondec that sounds cool to me. Yeah we should all meet up, although it won't be very hard to spot each other at middnight cuz no doubt everyone will be in or around the stone circle!

have heard muchos about stone circle...should probably be entertaining my non-poiple friends with fire or maybe some glow (if i've partaken in the same substances it's probably recommended!) but can't say what I'll be doing cept I'll be over there in some form or another!

Maybe one of us should take a really odd item so that we stand out... I have a blow up dalek but it's my pride and joy.... Maybe someone has something like this that would stand out... We could all agree on something in advance and meet around the person hosting that item??? It would be like hide and seek

Ah well, in a few years rt? :mrgreen: As for y'all bringing a funky standoutish item..... lemme give you a slight history here. 3 of my sisters are the hugest fans of Nsync since before nsync even knew they were nysnc lol. Their ritual is to go to the concerts , meet n greets and all that with oversized rainbow afros. These things are about the size of a large beachball. So thats always an idea

Yeap that's fine but I don't spin fire... and last year I saw so many people spinning...I could spin glow sticks and wear a T-shirt with my name written on it though

Managed to get a ticket in the resells a coupla weeks ago, who else is gonna be there for certain? Am a festival virgin but going with about 30 ppl in total but don't think any spinners amongst them...should be there with some fire, some flashy ones for when i'm too wasted for fire and maybe my socks or tails, though they might be the last straw if i were a camel...

Alright then - I'm off to visit my folks in Somerset tommorrow before the festival so I will be unable to mail between now and the festival... So how about anyone who is up for it and wants to meet come to the stone circle on the Wednesday or the Thursday afternoon/night and look for a curly haired girl/ brown eyes, name of Ray (that's me) and to make myself distintive I'll either be poing with flame red coloured poi - sonicstars purple and white ones, glow stick poi red/blue combinations... or look out for someone throwing a diabolo in the air (quite high) or spining some devil stick - quite badly.

After bitchin about glasters for months I just got given a ticket with my name on it and i couldn't resist so i will be there
Right then, I'll mostly be in the stone circle and at the glade, shpongle and halucinogen better be playing cos i love seeing them live.
Well, I'm looking forward to meeting all you crazy cats.
I'll even be doing a bit of fire performance with Synaesthesia (which no one can ever pronouce, perhaps it should be Synaesthesia and Spherculoid, proper tounge twister)

YAY and I'm home and showered after my trek through the swamps of somerset! Hope everyone had as good a time as me cuz I had a brilliant one - apart from losing my wallet with train ticket in last night
anyway, learnt some wicked new tricks (thanks matt 
) and lots of really nice poiple all about the place and span lots and lots and lots, my highlights were:
Orbital's last ever uk gig - made it through to the very front!!!
Spinning poi for the whole of fergie's set in the dance tent - heavy tunes played!
Walking through the stone circle and overhearing someone shouting "It's my dog shit, it came from my dog, I own it!!!" - maybe you had to be there
and a last safety note for muddy conditions: slalom running between bins is very hazardous in mud
See you all next year if this stupid lottery system doesn't take over for the tickets!

Yay, I'm back and bathed
i'm also back at work
But i had a wicked time.
Got to spin with Durbs, Duballstar, garthy, polenski, bluecat, coleman, oli and lots of others
I love spinning up at the stone sphercle. I can spin rediculously slowly when i'm up there, happens every time. Had a great time up there with oli practicing tangles, throws and isolations. His isolations are most badass.
Saw bonobo at the glade
, missed orbital *spank* 'cos i couldn't face the babylon. Spent all my time in the greenfields 
and saw some increadible circus in the big top.
Learnt loads of new poi off all the spherculists, thank you all

And I met a BlueCat too - who was very nice, and I saw the TePOOKa show too which was very cool.
We only got to do one of our shows as our "stage" was a swamp by Saturday night
Still, the one we did went down very well.
Saw some wicked spinners - not sure if it was Oli or Psi doing the doubles at the Stone Circle on the Friday - but MY DOG they were tight 8O
Best get back to staring blankly at the screen waiting for 5 o'clock...

Matt - i spent most of my time in the green fields too which might explain why i bumped into you so much! i'm annoyed i missed your shows but it was cool to get spercular in the stones. i wasn't too co-herent on thurs night tho...
Durbs- you guys looked good in your one show and that was psi we were watching with the doubles!
Jim- was good to meet you man. thanks for lending me some poi, i seem to remember us both being quite a mess when i last saw you
Mike + Garthy- hope you had fun guys, was really cool meeting you + hanging out.
Duncan- was good to meet you at last! thanks for lending me the poi, they were real nice.
Rob- only managed to say hello on sun + was i half asleep but well impressed by the show despite the 'technical hitches'.

Still I cheered up the ice cream man at 7am by buying a 99 flake off him - seriously the sun had been up half hour and I was too hot to sleep so I bought an ice cream.... think i did the same nearly every morning hehe! see yall next year...unless anyone's going to boom in portugal??????
