Hi Matt and the people out there, I just find the link to this site, lucky because it was written between the lines, on the discussion forum of home of poi, great site nice technics my compliments to u !
My name is olivier I live in this cold country called Germany I play poi now since 3 years learned it in south America Ecuador from the people of the street. Started to form new poi people last years,until now we are a group of five people called "drehmoment ". They called me alphapoi because I was the first to play it in this town.This year I will start to do some workshops in the south of Germany Mannheim near Frankfurt I think the big poi wave has just started the people love it and for myself it's a present of life they gave me three years ago ! Think I find the site where the spirit is u got it matt ,big hello to all the swinger

Hey alphapoi,
good to meet you. There seem to be loads of german poiple signing up recently, how nice. Shroom thinks his/her english isn't very good. I asked if they wanted a 'german speaking forum' then poiple who speak german and english could help translate difficult questions. We also have french and spanish speaking members, so I could dedicate forums to these languages too.
What do you think?

Holla Matt, I think it's better to find one language to bring all the members together and not to splitt them in different forums. I also speak french and some spanish but english always helps me to get arround even if my english is weaker
Poi is one language for all, so maybe its an better idea to upload more videos to this site. If u see it u don't need talk. big hello from here , alphapoi

Just so long as poiple feel they can ask others to translate complex concepts then it should all be okay.

yep yep maybe the side needs also a forum for festivals where poiple can find others to travel together in one car one bus one plane one rocket one starship or just meet at the festivals in europe and britain.

Yeah, I can sort that out. I haven't put up too many forums so far. As poiple post more and more in these forums i'll add new ones. Otherwise I'll end up with loads of empty forums.
I really like the idea of meeting up with everyone though. I was thinking that if I ever make any money i'll hold a big spherculism gathering somewhere in europe.
I'll probably end up at some euro festivals this summer, maybe we'll just all meet up then. It makes me sooo happy when new members join up. There are 50 of us now!! How cool is that!!!

Inertia: It may be a long way from anywhere but it may well be my next big adventure destination!! And I've travelled more and met more poiple in america than i have in europe.
Dunno how to get back to burningman And squeeze in a trip to NZ, expecially as I am completely skint!!

About the forums - I agree with alphapoi going all-english in the forums otherwise it'll probably just divide into small islands of people talking among themselves and not a sweet big family anymore... and as for disrespectful - just add a smile and it'll be all smiles back to ya!
