Help with basic hyperloops please!
Cant get a basic hyperloop.
Any tips?
Do u have to cross the two poi at exactly the same place? (ie the centre of each poi)
Also what is the secret of unwrapping them without them tangling up and refusing to budge?

They untangle when the heads come out from inbetween your arms... so when you turn around they come out because you've turned and the heads end up on the outside.
To do it without turning you need to move your hands across your body. Time for a diagram... say for a hyperloop going from L to R. You start it with your hands like this
[code:1]
R
|
|
|
L
[/code:1]
In the middle your hands are like this
[code:1]
L-----R
[/code:1]
and to exit your hands end up like this
[code:1]
L
|
|
|
R
[/code:1]
to the right of your body... in just the same position as if you'd done a fakey/lock-out.

the basic hyperloop does NOT pass through the middle
so you can scratch that part..
your hands need to be at the 12 and 6 positions preferably.. when using a forward weave.. put the right hand on top and the left hand on bottom.. they should hit right after the seperation before the twist up when going from a 5bt weave.. but the timing is the only catch..
what matt means when he says feel it is that the poi willmove with a normal timing.. because what happens is as you start to tanlge on the right side the left poi will lead to the left.. so the timing is familiar... the hardest part is breaking yourself of mocving your hands.. because you have to keep them the same distance from each other as you move it across..
simple suggestions..
1) don't start in the middle.. have the midlle of one string hit near the handle of the other.. this produces a hlaf-ass hyperloop in whihc one does the correct hyperlopp while the other does its normal thing. this gets you used to the timing AND the still hand holding.. AND is not much different from what you normally do with a 5bt weave.. (think of it like doing the last part of the 5bt weave with the poi wrapping around a string rather then wrapping around your wrist (which your twist normally does) if you learned the 5bt like I did you learne it by letting it wrap alittle on your wrist.. well its' like that only with your hands further apart so it wraps on the string..
2) you can find what's comfortable.. 12 and 6 make things the easiest, bc if you do it right you don't really have to move your hands much.. the hyperloop moves to the other side of the axis (the tanlge) on its own... and you'll be quickly able to pick up on that and slowly add it to your flow..
3) hyperloops are here'by known as twists (twisties) because of the nature of the tanlge.. so if you find anything on the site refering to twists.. that should help you as well..
