Hi from scruff

Hi everyone

Im scruff, i live in Yorkshire, UK and i`ve been spinning for about 2 years. I fell in love with Poi up on the stone circle at Glastonbury a few years back and have not been able to put them down since..

I`m well into music aswell, listening to Matthew Herbert, Mr Scruff, Quantic, Cinematic Orchestra alot at the mo.. Never miss Gilles Peterson on a Wednesday night, its soooo good!!

This site has inspired me to pick up my poi again and practice, i always stop when it gets cold..

Hi scruff,

Welcome to spherculism, I hope you find Matts videos good to learn from, brilliant to hear that you have re-inspired to spin.

I've still never been to Glastonbury, I suppose I should really go this year, I'd just love to spend an evening around the stone circle. It must have been a truly amazing experience falling in love with poi in such a beautiful location.

I've heard of Mr Scruff (I see connection with your name there Sphism/winksmiley) but not the others. Giles Peterson has a rather superb taste in music. I also rather enjoy these following radio one shows, 'the breezblock', 'annie nightingale' and 'the blueroom'. They are mostly breaks and beats and some odd stuff.

If you like strange hip-hop-esque music check out www.pitmanworld.com apparently Giles Peterson is rather a large fan.

Cheers Dub, i`ll check that site out. Scruff was actually my nickname when i was about 8 years old, nothing to do with mr scruff.. Glastonbury is amazing, so many spinners!! There were some really incredible ones there last year, cant wait to go again!!
