The Spherculism Project is only in the very early stages. There is still so much to do.
I'm still learning new stuff about how it works and since doing the test video (all the tutorial vids) I have learnt a lot of new poi patterns and realised there was quite a bit of stuff that I forgot to do, but hey, it ain't easy standing in front of a camera for 80 mins with the sole aim of spinning Every pattern you know and All the variations.
So it's totally wide open. I really wanna here what you all want from this site. One of the goals is to raise the basic standard of poi to the level you see here, then the Fun can really start
Any way you can think of to aid this goal will be very much appreciated.

So....
The tutorials, I can learn contact juggling from text along but poi baffles me in text. I need to see it being done to understand it. That and the quick response and the fourms for diffrent familys of moves. Another thing I like is how the site is all poi.
So....
I agree about poi texts being completely baffling. I figure if I can get enough different camera angles on any one pattern then there should be no need for text. Also something which has been brought up by foreign folks is that video is a universal language.
It is all about poi, that's for sure. I adore Meteor as well but to my knowledge there isn't a single name attached to any Meteor move. I'll definitely do a big meteor tutorial section when I can get outside again.
It's so good for me to get all my moves down, catagorise them and teach them to others. Kinda reminds me of University Finals
As for the quick response times, it's partly 'cos i'm very uninspired at work and party because spherculism is doing far better than I could ever have imagined, there are now over 100 of us

Also in the wings is a wicked Meteor poi and staff fire video that i'm gonna edit on my new laptop (2 days till delivery, then the fun begins)

METEOR! WooHoo,
I need some inspiration as I haven't played with one of those for months, I even cut my sock meteor in half to make poi to replace the umpteenth set I have given away when drunk at the pub.
Very, very much looking forward to that.
So....
i thought i was alone in taking my poi everywhere with me! practising whilst drunk, walking back from the pub is always fun
So....
I actually cannot leave my lovely pink and purple practice poi at home... You never know where/when you'll run into other spinners!!

i take my poi everywhere too!! how cool, I thought it was just me that was weird!! I keep a pair of LED glowsticks in the car and my socks are usually found in my pocket/coat/bag at most times out of the house!! Everyone else thinks I'm weird but that's no deterrant for me!!
So....
You will never see me without my poi either in my hands or hooked on my belt loop

If you could see my poi you'd know why I don't carry them everywhere.
So....
I went 10 pin bowling with some guys from work last night and got a little bored getting beat all the time so I was on the phone to my girlf and I got my socks out and was spinning some basic wrap patterns round my forearms...next minute everyone wants to watch and see what it was I was doing and making me perform stuff......but thing is, to be honest I didn't realise I was spinning until everyone started looking at me funny!! Does that mean I'm obsessed!!

Anyway, they all enjoyed a good show and my bosses son (who is about 12 I think) now knows the basic three beat weave!
That's the best thing about taking them out with you, you can spread the word where you least expect it!!
