I need help about my parents
they won't allow me to get fire poi!
I told them I'll use paraffin since it's the safest, I told them that I know 8th graders that don't know half the tricks I do and they do fire and neither of these helped.
I explained that I'll do safe tricks (tricks that I've known for a long time)
my dad kinda agrees but my mom says I spent too much money on juggling equipment.
HELP ME!!

I need help about my parents
Hey asaf
I feel ya man, I've got near the same problem. My parents dont want me to do fire yet either. Understandable on their part, but annoying on my part
Man concerning the 8th graders, that I think would only increase their doubts because it might give them the impression that you would just want it because the others were doing it. I dont know your parents but I've found this to be the most often occuring case
Remember to not harbor any bitterness or resentment, especially any attitude towards them because 1, its not good, 2, they are just looking after you, and 3, It really wont help any.
I've said near all I can think of in our pm conversation so there's really no reason for me to post them again here.
Patience, understanding, respect of their opinions and decisions for you right now which cannot be controlled, freedom when it is your time
Thats how I'm having to do it right now. Right now isnt my time, and it may not be yours yet either. See ya later, good luck, I truly hope you get your flames!

I had the same problem. I don't now though.
Still haven't even bouth fire stuff yet.
I justed got them to watch me spinning showed them that if I don't do anything I don't know I don't normally hit myself. I got them to watch a lot of fire spinning videos with me to get them comfotable with the idea.
That's what worked for me, but yeah, just don't disrespect them or whine.

tell them almighty rev does not yet spin fire..
oh wait. that doesnt help your case does it..
but itdoes go to show that just because some people spin fire doesnt meant everyone has to.. time will come... if you think you are skilled now wait until you finally do get to try fire. OMG.. you know.. but I wouldn't really press the issue... they are concerned.. and that won't change... and rebelling/fighting them on it won't help your situation...
it'll all come in time kiddo.. just let it go.. and practice double ahrd in the meantime..
put frustration to good use.. that's what I do..

I feel for you, but I have to agree with everyone so far. Your parents are just concerned for your safety. Being older (way older), I can see where your parents are coming from. I'm not really sure where you live, but if you live in the states(I'm not certain on this here or in any other country), but there could actually be legal issues your parents face, let alone they don't want to see anything happen to you, but there are child endangerment laws that could get them in a heap of trouble, even have you (and your siblings, if any) taken away. Different states have different age requirements. If that isn't really the issue, the only other thing I can suggests is to teach one of them to be your safety, but I really wouldn't push the issue. All in due time my friend. That may not help you spin fire, but I hope it helps. Oh, and my mom probably wouldn't approve, I think I failed to mention that I spin fire. (and I'm 31)

i had a similar problem....some time ago.
actually they had seen me practising and i poied with fire for the first time with lots of people who knew it and would be able to help if anything went wrong seriousy.
actually ...if they ever say that you spend your money wrong.
say it is better then that you spend it on alcohol and similar stuff.
it's not nice, they won't like it....but it works.
