yes, its always good to meet people from different areas, I find people from same areas tend to develop similar styles, so its good to get out sometimes.
Poertsmouth is the poi capital of the world! lots of people doing lots of bad spinning i'm afraid.
I prefer learning amd relaxing with poi rather that performing in front of lots of people.
Whats your a/s/l?

I'm defently not up for performing yet. at the moment i just like learning and trying to nail moves. just bought some fire poi's havent lit then yet just getting them first. it hurts when the slam into my nipple piecing. :cry:

Me too i only got one year left can't wait to move back to bournemouth 1 year with my parents has done my nut.

I'm studying Computer Aided Product Design. And have one the most boring placement in the country i believe. dong paper work and it hell but i least i got RAGE playing. :11

i''ve been meening to pop down and see my two friends in portsmouth soon.

loads used to love my metal but got a bit bored, mainly drum and bass now.
Like stuff like orbital, tool, chem brothers, soundgarden, some kinds of electro-jazz and jungle.
I like everything eccept garage and r'n'b really!

Hey you must know my favourite band is chemical brother, and i have a shit loads of orbital, fat boy slim. i used to be heavily into dance but my intrest have moved to inculed a lot of alternative sfuff. (except green dat yukkk sorry if you like them) gargage is evil! i've been wanting to find a club that plays heavly on big beat and hip hop but no luck at the moment.

cool, I saw the chems at glasto the other week, didnt think their set was that good tho i'm afraid... orbital were amazing tho, as was squarepusher, although I was gutted when aphex twin did a no show, hes bloody good live!

I was gutted not to go glasto. but one of the main reasons i didn't go cause my ex was there but thats along story. That was the last orbital i would of loved to of seen them.

How long you been spinning for then? Ive been doin poi for about 2 1/2 years now, took up staff as well but havent practised enough to be any good!

Started just under 2 year ago in the driveway of my flat. it was my friends from p'mouth that introduced it to me. i was there at 2 o'clock in the morning with 2 bottles of water on the ends of string trying to turn while spinning the pois forward. hit my self the head and between the legs alot. i was addicted. went over to socks, then practice poi. i've been practising on and off for that time.

i wanted to try staff for a while maybe you could teach me a move some time.

Def going to glasto next year

sure, as I say, my staffing is basic, but I can do basic moves, windmill turns etc, just need to concentrate on it rather than poi for a bit!
Also im a bit clumsy so the throws are eluding me a bit!
