See you in a week...
Right, 'tis finally time for me to disappear for a week off to the good 'ol US of A. Wish I could meet some of you US poips whilst I'm out there but I'm going over to North West Mass to an event called Choralfest (basically a big choral singing festival). Should be a pretty interesting week- lots of singing (6+ hours a day!) but you also get to explore proper counryside US style- Kayaking, hiking etc etc- sounds great
Oh, and you get to perform in a 500+ choir to a 2500+ audience at the end of the week ![]()
Anyway, my calendar is really tight, plus I'm going to be completely out of touch for a week as the place I'm headed to has no mobile comms signal, nor internet access (bar dialup, but I won't have a machine). It probably seems a bit OTT to sign off for one week, but hey, I'm a Spherculism Junkie- can't think of missing it for a day ![]()
So all the best for one Sphercular week- look forward to catching up with you all soon and continuing to plan for the Sphercular Ball.
Happy Spinning all,
Chut

I'm Back!
To be honest I did actually get to check the site a few times whilst away but I decided not to post- not sure why just wanted a break...
As far as my time away is concerned- well lets just say that it was quite possible one of the best weeks of my life so far- that may sound totally OTT but it really was... I'm far too jet lagged at the mo to really go into it all (nor do I know if its of any real interest) but heres a rough breakdown:
Place: beautiful
People: numerous/diverse/wonderful (with hardly any exception)
Music (this was a singing festival after all): Beethoven Mass in C- tough but rewarding, Durufle Requiem- poignant emotional and overpowering- after the concert we sang on the Saturday evening I haven't been able to listen to it as it makes me all sad..
Experiences: teaching many people from young 20 somethings to a couple of 50+ attendees of the concert basics of spinning/ bumping into and spinning with the Umass juggling club on my first full day in the US (i donated a set of socks as no-one spun with them in the group)/canoeing the river across the Mass-Conneticut state divide/ Getting to ride a Segway and drive a '70 Mustang in the space of one hour (Honest!- I have pictorial proof)...
I didn't want to come home- I will elaborate as requested/ As and when I wake up
Nice to be back- glad Glade went so well
