well just had my most painful injury from my poi...
papercut on my eyelid from the tails... it was so deep it bled...
think ribbons are meant for bright weather and thus sunglasses!

I found this out myself when my rock hard glopoi hit me square in the eye. It didn't stop watering for ages and went bright red. I also had an unexplained sore bit on my forehead that hurt for a week every time I touched it. This can only be put down to hitting myself with poi at some point whilst drunk. NEVER DRINK AND SPIN POI IT HURTS LOTS AND IS VERY IRRESPONSIBLE. XXX

I hit myself all the time... that's why I put loose beanbags in my sock poi instead of the harder juggling balls that others seem to favor. The looser bags seem to take some of the force from the impact and spread it out a bit.

Man that's nasty, the edges on my tails are sown over so hopefully slightly safer but I usually just use the beanbags without,
Still sometimes manage to hit myself in the nuts and end up curled up on the floor unable to move for ten minuits or so. :1

The other day I managed to hit myself right behind my ear with my (heavy) sock poi - right where the jawbone and skull meet. Fuck me that was incredibly painful

holla a friend of me just play kind of butterfly when the poi end catch his left piercing at the nipple
what happens is that the piercing is out now and the nipple a little bit different and bloody red
yesterday we got two knock out by poi in the nuts !!

I had those tails cut my eye before! that was... well can u imagine this guy 8O but with 1 eye.
That didnt come NEAR the damage of taking fire poi in the EYE! And it was so fast, like slowmo, that my eye couldnt close untill the poi had bounced off it. Needless to say i went down and it took about 1/2 and hour to pull myself back together. :56 :18

I am the guy who, finishing his last spin of the night, was spinning out and brought a poi right into his forehead.

You poor thing stoneT. It's a very good lesson but we are very likely to keep on spinning at parties, festivals and other places where alcohol is rife so be careful everyone. I really feel that those who can should post pictures of injuries in the galleries (if there's something to see) then we can all have good look especially if you sre nosey like me. plus we can all really apppreciate the pain endured... x
