Just wondering about overhead variations
hey hey
I enjoy doing a thread the needle in the overhead plane. This is especially fun to do while on the ground leaning back. Overhead butterflys work real well.. I like to bend my head down and put my hands right above my neck during the butterfly.
also i like turning with a corkscrew above me (2beat to start working into the 3 or 4beat). not sure if this is truely a "overhead" move... but.. close enough
Nick Woolsey does a crazy over head move i cant do in his videos... http://www.thevenue.org/firespinning_videos.htm
he leans way back and spins one plane above him and one below while turning sorta.. its neat
hope that helped

well bth and over the head to me are close enough.. I mean if you do it bth it looks like its done over the head...
so there's weaving.. (not liek windmills.. I mean side planes bth)
and crossers..
and straight jackets..
and wraps..
and tangles..
and so forth and so on.. bascially if you can do it down here (or btl lol) then its very possible over head either wall or side planed..

*does his best impression of poikid*
Ttn's are great... it stands for Thread The Needle...
Here's the encyclopoidia thread
and here's one that SHOULD be in the butterfly section where I always look for it
have fun...
*goes back to being Rev*

Lol rev
Well yah, ttn is thread the needle, or push through
Butterfly pattern where with each beat of the poi one hand goes ontop of the other hand and pushes through the pattern, then next beat the other hand does it. Not saying you necessarily have to have the hands ontop but it's usually the easiest way to first learn it.
