Problem with 5 beat weave

Hello

I know how to do the move but i'm having problems keeping it consitant. think i doin the move correctly but for me to do it i have to raise my my hands and arms when i crossing over. usuall just under level with my head.

Not sure this correct. But it's the only move i'm not 90% conifdent with my fire poi.

that is all the the moves i know i'm am about 80-90% confident with the fire poi's. and i haven't even lit them yet it may just be me just getting used to the weight

If anyone can shed some light i would be most grateful

do you mean fwd 5 bt?
I find that if you lift the elbow of the hand that is above (leading arm) so your forerm is tilted it becomes easier to get a good rythm
sorry im bad at decribing these things!

sorry ment backwards 5 beat weave no problem wit forward

oh and chears rev

My tips for the reverse 5bt are:

1) instead of trying to simply pull the poi across, try giving it a push "out" just before the transition to change the orbit of the poi. For instance, if you're going from right to left, it helps to push the left poi "out" to the right just before you hook it across to the left. This changes the plane that the poi travels in, so that instead of a flat plane on your right, it goes diagonal and goes across your body almost on its own.

2) dip your shoulder! instead of trying to do it all with your arms (this is why you're pulling it higher) you can use your shoulders to change the angles of your arms.

3) I just came up with this one... try bending your elbows.
