Hello all. I recently looked at this and realized that I basically made a biography of myself. So.. making it simpler, shorter..and less talk of me!
Name: Catherine May Palma.
Whateveryouwouldcallthis: All in all , Italian and Polish. More italian in me then polish tho.
Age/Birthdate: 14- May 13, 1990
Fave Color: Burnt orange
Spherculism Skills: Poi, am learning to juggle currently 
4 catches is the record thus far.
Other Skills: Parkour, bboy, crochet, and jazz piano playing. All 'cept crochet are still in the beginner stages tho.
Main toys: My red,black, and white stripey socks, and my wicks.
Other toys: Streamer poi, tennis ball poi, green glo hacky poi, glowstrings.
Music: Electronic and hard rock. Also getting a keen interest in Trip Hop...or..pop opera.. whatever it's called. Check out atylantos, that'll describe it. Bob marley!
Other things I love to do and do alot: Boarding (snow), yoga, parkour (freerunning), bboying, running, hiking, chillin, sketching, crocheting, jazz piano

Places I've lived: Helena MT, Las Vegas NV, Brianhead UT, Sultan WA which is hicksville but thats why you go to Seattle all the time!
I adore it here. All you people are wonderful and have been super kind to me.. which was a shocker in the beginning cause of my age. This was the first place that I did not get negative comments due to my youth... and I thank ya'll for that. Everyone is always so welcoming and encouraging, not putting down because of lesser abilities....

I met Isis at Burningman 2003, she invited me up to Seatle to help out with the 'Behold the Buddah' Gathering.
It was a blast and the performance they put on was possibly the best i've ever seen.
They have loads of different fire performers; poi, staff, fingers, fans and palms. They have these 2 increadible dancers who paint themselves white and do really slow, emotional movement. They made the music themselves and the whole lot was done in time to visuals which they created for the piece. Phenominal.
It was all set in an idilic location just north east of Seattle. They made a great undercover dance area and stage, loads of wicked backdrops. Definitely check out these lovely people.
I'll certainly be in Settle at some point to hook up with them again, dunno when, but soon.

So I think that Poikid should be a moderator of the forums.
Does any one know of any particular reason why Poikid should not be made the next spherculator along side rev, dub and myself.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but as anyone who picks up my infrequent messages will see, I don't have much too add poi wise (roll on summer). However, I read avidly, and whilst I know its kind of late, I just wanted to say well done to Poikid for being a moderator- you're all over the forums, really helpful and obviously a bit special in the spinning dept.

Lol, poi barn, its a big huge old building once used to house cows but now has been transformed into a place for spinning
Poi barn has a second level and it still keeps going up, big arse barn, so I spin out there. We called it the stargazer.......reason....every time a storm comes, part of the roof flies off :evil: Got these big holes in the roof now :evil:

Do you have mirrors in your poi barn? I find having big mirrors and/or windows (they're usually reflective enough at night) really helps me learn moves.

The easiest way to get big mirrors is to use closet doors... it ought to be easy to find someone who has mirrored closet doors that doesn't want them. I know someone that found a bunch by putting ads in Craigslist (edit: duh... that would be GlitterGirl -- hi Isa!). I suppose if you're a kid and you don't have a truck it's a bit harder to do, but maybe your parents can help you.

Once me and a friend blasted a hornets nest with hair spray and ran. I wouldn't recomend that to anyone, but neither of us got stung.

I positively hate wasps and their Hornet brothers and sisters. Bees are OK- they only sting you if you piss them off (and die for their trouble) whereas wasps get the arsehole and can just sting you if they think you looked at them funny (which is the ONLY way I look at them) Grrr :evil:
I'm sure theres an Eddie Izzard sketch on this somewhere...

Hehe I only am annoyed at the hornets because that lil buzzing noise gets quite old, and they keep dropping their old nest on me. I'm serious man, there was a huge bunch of them at the top while I was spinning then KONK , here comes part of the old honey comb straight on me. Jerks :evil: Surprisenly, bee's NEVER attack me. Hornets, reg bees, wasps, none of them. I'll just go and touch them slightly to get them on their way, and they never come back at me. Wierd huh? But handy
Oh well I still want them out of my barn. I dont like honey comb droppings.

Hm... I've been toying with the idea of learning a bit of Elvish for a while; I'm quite good at German, despite not having lessons for three years, and can remember most of the French I learnt for the first three years of high school, so languages come quite easily to me... And I'm told it's not that different from Welsh. I just think it would be cool to speak!! Where do you get your information about it?

Sadly this is my first language aside from english I'm learning so I may be going about it totally badly
I found a course online...I lost the url tho, but iffen you want as soon as I get back home I can send you it. At the end of about 5 rediculously long lessons it has a link to dload the rest, I think theres something like 20. Good start anyway. Sooo I dont know why I put that in there....but yah, I can find the link for you, or you can just browse online but dont trust this one site...ermmm...forgot the name.... hmm.....[wanders off trying to think of the name]

9th grade kicks so much bum.
Didn't like 8th too much. 10th is cool, but I'm not liking all the random moving from class to class. I know your system is way diffrent then mine though.
If someone posts shortly after you in a topic, it's probably poikid. I don't even check the last person to post after me anymore, since it's almost always her.

It is indeed differant, seeing as I'm homeschooled
Which is awesome, can usually get done with it about 9: 30, then have the rest of the day free for spinning and other such goodness. Also nice cause I dont have to deal with annoying peoples for hours at a time :evil:

OH BTW, to Matt and Faerie, (nice avatar faerie for 1) dont expect Quenya which is the elvish I'm learning to sound like it does in LOTR, they speak nearly all Sindarin in there except for 1, Saruman ontop of Orthanc sending the storm to the fellowship on Caradhras and 2, Frodo in Shelobs lair where he says something to the extent of "ahya calima sila" and I forgot the rest, (meaning "holy light shine so bright" but I forgot what bright was, haven't studied in a while) anyways so if you want to speak like most of the movie study Sindarin, but I dont have a link for it!!

Matt and faerie! I forgot to mention that Galadriel in FOTR speaks some quenya as the fellowship departs, "namarie" which means farewell so yah, there is some more distinct quenya in that section as well
And yes... I am a lotr obsessed person thing..... so feel free to make fun of, I really dont mind
