Nice video, even if I feel like I already saw it before... Glowstringing is so strange... I don't understand all the moves, and I can't realize if it's difficult to practice or not.
It's very impressive the first times we see that, but after, it looks like being allways the same thing: lights moving around a body which doesn't move.
I can't figure you can express something with glowstringing above music (with the move of your body I mean). That may be the reason why it doesn't interest me a lot.

You are 100% correct. Glowstringing is more interesting when you incorporate some kind of dancing into it. That's why a lot of good glowstringers like to leave the the lights on when they practice or do a show, because they like to prove that they too are artists.

There are many glowstringers that learn the basics and just quit because they do it just to "be cool" or simply to amuse themselves with the lights. This won't take them very far. I got into glowstringing because of the lights, let me tell you; but very soon I realized that focusing on the "poi" part of it is the most necessary.

Now, all types of poi amuse me just as much as glow-poi do (sock, fire, etc).

I find it better to learn poi before you learn glowstringing, because the more things you know, the higher the effect of the glow. Oh that rhymes, nice.

Props to Diablo for putting together this vid. I believe he's gotten much better since he filmed it.
