Defined ~ Hyperloop

Hyperloop

A type of tangle in which the tangle moves between different planes.

Again, a first attempt...

Ahhhh, I've been wondering what the difference is!
Airwrap one sounds fine(I'll go there in a mo)
This one sounds a little confusing to me, I would go for...

A type of tangle in which the poi exit in a different plane to their original one.

... erm, or something.

Man, it can be difficult putting into words something that is entirely clear in your head Sphism/confusedsmiley
I have difficulty with basic sentances! Sphism/gigglesmiley

I like your one a lot better!

how about hyperloops being a dynamic link...

airwrap being a static link... because I know a number of people (hence the huge eon long debate over airwraps and hyperloops.. waged not jsut by me)...

so to give each side its peace... can we use something more simplistic.. it includes no nexus description thus covering that a hyperloops may be done with a twist, tangle, or knot... as which can an airwrap..

Woah, you lost me there Sphism/confusedsmiley
I'm not sure anyone is going to understand if we define hyperloops as:

A DYNAMIC LINK

To me all poi is dynamic (with the possible exeption of stalls) Which makes everything you do a 'dynamic link' between what you just did and what you do next.

And maybe this definition needs to be tied in with that of tangle (I thought twists and knots were tangles).

dynamic... as in it moves between planes..

vs static... as in it only stays in one..

Yeah, but what's with the link bit? Surely we've already got the fine generic term tangle? Sphism/smilesmiley

OK I understand the dynamic/static bit now but to save other's confusion can't we just say- the poi exit in a different plane to their original one.
Sphism/confusedsmiley:
And as for the 'link' thing... Sphism/confusedsmiley

Hyperloop

A type of linked move in which the move changes the path of the poi.

Hmm...
Yesterday I would have agreed with you.
However, last night I came up with some crazy BF hyperloop in which you (well ok' I...) have to turn 360 to exit it cleanly. They therefore come out in the same plane, and same direction.
Does that mean it's not a hyperloop? Sphism/winksmiley

No, because the path has changed... you've spun in a big circle whilst doing the bloody move Sphism/gigglesmiley

[...Runs in from Airwrap thread, panting]
A type of linked move where the nexus is dynamic, i.e. moves.

You knew it was coming Sphism/winksmiley

(go figure huh)

Sphism/gigglesmiley I did indeed see that one coming once I posted the new definition of the airwrap up. But hey, it saved me some typing.

Right, I'm going to add them to the poidia now before anyone changes their mind Sphism/gigglesmiley :5

i totally agree

me, rev and spiralx all agreeing on the same definition of hyperloop and airwrap?

Gentlemen. This is clearly one of the signs of the impending apocalypse as foretold by the prophecies of Revelations. I suggest we all buy lots of canned food and retreat immediately into the mountains.

See the offset weave thread... I don't think we're in any danger just yet! Sphism/gigglesmiley

And finally I understand! Sphism/gigglesmiley
...now if only I could do the damn things!!!
