I play with a stick sometimes, only when I can get my hands on a decent broom stick since there really isn't one in my house. 
So how many more of us are there on the dark side?

I have been tempted by the dark side for a while now an am thinking of buying a staff and lurning some moves.

just make one dude, they're real easy... it's just a stick!! and then you can decorate it all nice!
you might find you need to buy a basic stick tho cos i couldn't find any trees that were straight enough...

Hey, I have just crossed over to the dark side and it's great. Got my first staff yesterday and can't wait to light it up. Although am never going to forget poi as it will always be first love xx

I got to spin a fire staff once. The wicks were only an inch and a half though.

Plus there are some really weird tricks you can do with two in one hand, but not inna cross. Kinda (juggling) rings illusions style... 8O
But I think I'll be learning doubles for a while first. Plus I can't afford a triple..

Staff is my first love, im ok with poi and learning new stuff all the time. But i have to say working with my staff is what really makes me happy. I try to incorporate dark and light together, tho i really am drawn to the dark side, but try to work the yin and the yang into my spin. Love working with different color fire too. Just love to spin anything, sword, meteors, short staff, long staff, poi, whip chain, really want to get into rope dart and double sword. Still trying to work on double staff too, tho concentrating more on single contact. I think thats it....

I had a play with some staffs the other night as its been recommended I do so to aid my meteor playing- I think it'll end up being another addiction- what with that, contact, poi and diablo I'm starting to worry about my time

I just started spinning staff two days ago and now I'n starting to neglect my poi but I think it's about time for a lil break I'm running into a wall again. Staff is totally cool though. All the contact stuff is so neat.

I *started* with the darkside. I don't know... staff just seems to flow much easier from me, whereas poi are very very structured. Suppose I just have to take them further.
I use single long staff... depending on the one (I have several) it's somewhere between 5' and 6'
