Horizontal Trinity?

Has anyone played with these? ... And while we're on the general topic, what about btb corkscrews? Sphism/smilesmiley

btb corkscrews? you've got to be kidding!!! arms don't bend like that... i'd like to see it! a waitwrap corkscrew's an interesting idea tho. when you say horizontal trinity could you be more specific. are you using arashi's definition of a trinity? (waits for barrage of technical discussion + arguements over terminology)

bah....

you can do btb corkscrews...

the best way to start... is to learn ww corks... or thats what I called them..
for example..

left hand is btb and on the right side.. right hand is right there to the right of the left.. now corkscrew in the rear side plane.. because you need room for the poi to spin..

and whne you get that side down.. go to the other side witht the right btb..

and when you get done you'll pretty much have taught each hand the motions...

another thing that helps.. is take one hand at a time, straight btb.. and learn to spin... its FRICKIN HARD... ok.. wait.. its FRICKIN HARD....
it needed emphasis...

its hard to learn because its spins way different.. or at least that was my take on those motions.. it didn't seem just upside down to me..

also when you actually get it btb its not high like normal corks but rather low.. meaning bend your knees on the lower swing... and lean forward on the upper swing..

but yeah its doable..

itchell is supposed ot be moving in next week.. so I'll see if he still does it..

now to my next bit..

horizontal trinity.. by arashi's def... umm wont work.. because.. you'd need like to be able to flip your body rather then turn (because of how the planes face.. ) it would be like from mid cork up to behind the head, mid cork to down at the feet, and then at the feet to behind the head.. as the 3 planes.. now you can do a different from of the trinity.. in which you go from top of a center cork(1), come down on the back left side(2), and back up on the back right side(3), and back down to the front center (1) like:
[code:1]
1
/
/
/body
2-------3
[/code:1]

turning of course... I jsut wanted to used fixed planes for the description..

hope that wasn't a barrage... and no arguments Sphism/gigglesmiley

Thank you for the btb cork hints - it really is hard! As soon as I turn my hand so the thumb is facing down, it's impossible for me to maintain the horizontal planes. It will just take hand by hand drilling, I can see now.

As for the trinity-ness, I was thinking of a corkscrew in trinity. If we liken the floor and ceiling planes to the wall planes of a normal weave, we would have to turn them in towards eachother on one side, then add an additional plane on the opposite side from where we tilted so the planes are all 120º apart. The placement possibilities are endless and mindboggling, but who wouldn't like the idea of a crazy horizontal triangle?

again on trinityness

the horizontal version couldnt be done properly... again.. think of how the planes must angle.. its no longer ceiling and floor..

waist high but out front is your main point..from there you go up to behind the head and down to the feet and then you connect those two points.. and thus have one going from feet to behind the head..

would be nice.. but double jointedness becomes a prerequisite.. perhaps we should push gene therapy and stem cell research... by god make us all gumby like.. Sphism/gigglesmiley

granted you could turn said triangle to put the points in different places on the trianlge, but your still left with the same dilemma.. but I'd still like to see it.. so... let us find a double shoulder jointed person..
