My cahnce was lost

But out of the blue he realised he had some left on his poi's so he span and the let me. i was nervous at first but then the rush came when i did a full waist wrap but i got to cocky with a bit of alchol in me and the parafin was running out fast. the poi's lock and hit and they went never to be lit again that nite.

but now i want more :twisted:MOOORRREEE!!! i tell u

2 questions. where do u guys and gals buy your parafin from? (stupid question i know)

Sweeet!!

Right on man!

I haven't purchased mine yet because of the fire ban but the place we always get it from is just at a gas station. They sell kerosene (is that parafiin?) there.

Have fun!

woo hoo way to go chip. I have ordered some fire poi because they were cheap. Not what I wanted but they'll do for now. Yay. xx :39 :29

Hooray for fire Sphism/smilesmiley

Cheapest place I've found for paraffin is petrol stations - about £3.50 - £4 for 4 litres Sphism/gigglesmiley

After you've soaked the poi, find a clear area and spin the poi as fast as you can to shake the excess fuel off - don't do this anywhere you plan to spin or on roads as the paraffin is VERY slippery and turns the floor into an ice rink.
Even better than this is attaching mini buckets/cans on to the end of the poi which collects the excess fuel so you can use it again and it doesn't spray everwhere Sphism/smilesmiley

Remember - Be safe. Have someone looking after you and watching your back (and hair, sleeves, trousers...) with a wet towel to hand.
When the poi have gone out - dunk them back in the paraffin to stop them smouldering which stops them drying out and makes them last longer

Happy and safe spinning Sphism/gigglesmiley

absolutly awsome durbs thanks alot. cool avatar as well dude is that you hlding the sun. 8O wo.

Poikid thats a real bummer. we also so get kerosene over here to and i think it is not parrafin.

Dj always a pleasure. good news on fire poi's whats wrong wit them tho?

i have missed talking to all you guys.

Paraffin is the same as Kero' Sphism/smilesmiley

and you're more than welcome Sphism/smilesmiley

But no, it's not my picture sadly - but it is a good one

The best way to get rid of excess fuel is to rig up a can to catch the fuel. This saves you money on fuel in the long run and protects the environment, too!

Just bought some parafin YAAHOOO. nows wheres my poi's Sphism/gigglesmiley .

yep i realised just after i posted that i thought kero was different from para, when i saw the label on the bottle i bought

i will deff investigate about a can for my excess.

hey chip, They're tube core's with normal chain when i really wanted cathedral wicks with ball chain but they'll do for now xx

WEHEY CHIPMUNK!

 :18 FIRE ROCKS! :18 :twisted

As I have said at least once a week since I first tried it Sphism/gigglesmiley

Definately get a spin-off can!
Parrafin is really nasty stuff environmentally Sphism/sadsmiley
I have a can myself but last time I went for a spin a friend pissed me off a bit by spinning off without it for no reason :x
(yeah I'm a hippie ecowarrior at heart)

Dipping while they are still hot is a good idea, and lighting them while they are still hot is scarily easy 8O Sphism/gigglesmiley

I once dipped mine while they were still hot and it made the fuel sort of evoporate and a cloud of it came out of the bottle. That was a scary experince.
