Flowers for the poi-challenged
Hello...
I have no idea what a flower is supposed to look like. Actually, i do have an idea, but i'm not sure that's actually what a flower is supposed to look like. I read the tutorial at poiinthepark.com and well....i just don't get it.
It seems way too easy... so i was wondering if someone has a video or even a pic, or a flowers for dummies guide. Or all three of these.
Fanks.

Flowers for the poi-challenged
The concept is precisely that easy. But there is loads of variation to it. Mainly that your arms go in the oppsite spin direction to your poi, then your arms go in opposite direction to each other. You can have 4 petals, 5, 6, 7 or whatever you like. Getting an even split is very tricky.
Flowers are just a good way to practice poi IMO.

Hey bursting cell there's a thread in encyclopoidia omnibodus part of the site that orbit started which has loads of discussion on flowers that you might find interesting/helpful. It's whatchamacallits, doodahs and thingamijiggars. Hope it helps. x

Meenick does flowers in his 'Dervishly Yers.' He does a gorgeous turning six-petal butterfly flower and a tease of a weavey flower, not long enough for me to tell you how many petals and whatnot.
