vids never work for me off hop ????
how do you download the link ???
I click on it and it just stays blank, then shows nothing in winamp ~ although i think service pack 2 killed winamp a bit.
Can you post a link direct to the file please.
thanks,

umm... if it's ok with sluke I'll upload it to my server... I need to show it to other israeli spinners on my juggling forum, they'll love it (and see that there are better spinners than me...)
very nice vid, how do you change the airwrap's direction without the poi untangling???
new vid
yeah that's cool,
i'm all for sharing the love
. When do i change directions in the airwrap? when i stop it and catch it, it always exits it in the same direction. give me a time and i'll try and explain how.

but before you exit, you stop the poi a few times, when I wrap the poi on my hands while airwrapping, the poi untangle and I can't wrap them on the other side...
what do I need to do in this move?
new vid
it's because i catch them twice. if you do this once you have to exit in another manor. if you do it an even number of times you can exit normally.

just put a vid up on my HOP galley (under the nameY.T) which i think might be antispin,
if anyone can let me know if it is or it isn't then it could be greatly appreciated, cheers

that's a negative there buddy.. you are very close though... you've got some unnecessary buzzsaw spins and what not.
there are some really lovely diagrams on in the inverted thread page 7 or 8.. that show the position of the poi for antispin..
three things that will get you everything you need to know..
1- antispin flowers.. can you do one? it will teach you the motion of twisting the poi around each other.. you just need to shrink the diameter...
2- bf weave.. a butterfly weave twists like a weve and uses opposite hand motions.. so inevitably one hand -has- to antispin.. if you take it in the strict sense.. and that teaches you the timing...
3- the cross overs.. spin the right poi in the left side plane.. and the left poi in the right side plane... now as you spin them forward, take the hand on top and spin it to the other side and push it back to the cross side under the arm.. make sure you face you planes correctly (not inside like abuzzsaw, but outside like a weave).. you can then take the other hand across and under.. its a crosser change over, but between the antispin flowers, and the bf weave, you should have all the motions that you will use in the move..
wish I could be of more help..

Is one of the guys from that video named Deen?
Just curious because a bunch of people met me and this one other kid from GSC over the summer on one of NYCfromhop's thursday spin sessions.

Rev, that's your clearest post on antispin weave yet!
new vid
cheers rev,
i'll go and play now. i can do all the stuff you mentioned so it shouldn't be too long now...

just put a little fire vid up on hop,
i know the split time is awful but all other comments would be appreciated,
cheers s-luke

here're (?, I know here's works for here is, but here're looks really stupid.. ) let me rephrase.. here -are- some things to think about:
1- timing.. exaggerate the motions of your moves to incorporate more variations.. this will increase your ability to control the poi in different ways, which will clean up your timing generally.. most of the time people have good motions, just bad timing since they rehearse the move a lot, but don't vary it.. thus the learn the motions well, but don't get much more comfortable moving circles, generally speaking.
2- variations.. variations help clean up your timing, but they add an element of change.. take for example variation on size.. you change a lot from giant to normal, and even add tangles to shrink it down a bit.. but lets say your spinning a forward 5bt weave, you can use your fingers (maybe, maybe not, I just realized I use handles that might make it different) anyway, you can use your fingers to catchpart of the string as the poi moves from the top to bottom on its side.. thus having the string/chain coming out of the bootom of the hand.. you can move half a handwrap, like this or use variations to get more of the wrap.. by holding it in that position, you learn to control the poi of two different sizes but keeping the same time.. which is good for timing (while using the motions you know) but also changes up the circle sizes.. by varying these a little you can do the same move a few times without looking extremely repetetive. for instance try wrapping and unwrapping them to keep them always on different sizes, while changing sizes each side.. its a fun thing to in practice..
3- places.. not only do people like different sizes, but different places.. you were pretty comfortable with utl.. and even besides that, you can just take and stagger the height of the poi on different sides of the moves, and things like that.. does anyone play with corkscrews anymore? lol..
anyway.. there's a few thoughts.. I liked the clip, and look forward to more..
