ok, remember those russian motor boots? If not they had a small gasoline motor strapped to each calf, which controlled pistons on the heel when you step down on them and fired, which allowed the operator in a press conference to run 40+ MPH, with like 12+ foot strides or some crazy shit. They are currently looking for investors.

What if you made roller blades, with a throttle "ceiling" slider switch on a hand control, which allowed you to cap the power so you can learn how to use it without dieing. It would also have a kill switch in the style of a deadmans switch so you release it and it kills the engine, and the ignition control, and a control to switch between "gears" in the other hands control.

and possibly a throttle control.

The controls would have hand weights to give you more leverage for balanceing shit.

The engine powers the wheels in 1st gear, 2nd gear it powers the piston on the ball of the foot for leaping/strideing. 3nd gear has a one way slip differential that lets you choose between either piston (by activating the switch in either one)

it would have two modes of operation, either the switches detect somehow how hard you push on them (maybe with a delay so it gives you a chance to actually geet your foot in a proper position before it fires to actually control the damn thing (possibility of another switch in the hand control that disables the delay)

So you could skate or run around at stupid inhuman speeds, with intuitive control over the throttle and breaking to have as much control as possible, and you could augment your jumping distance. Even if it appeared in a sci-fi movie or anime or game it would be super cool.
