Synching up to odd timing

I've been spinning to frame drummers on occasion, and they keep slipping into this eleven beat pattern that has within it four groups with different beats. It's a 4-2-3-2.

I find it incredibly challenging to stay in time with them, and I think it's because of the three. The twos are difficult too, because of their quickness. I find that in weave family I switch to buzzsaws for them.

So my question is does anyone have tips for spinning to odd times?
