Hello from HALIFAX
Hi there!

Hello from HALIFAX
PINK of course.
RANT/
Today was a painful day of bruises, from my evil uncooperative poi. I don't know why I can't crack BTB moves. I've watched every BTB video in history and I can't even get 2 beats without wacking myself in either the face and/ or leg. Its TRAGIC really. All I do is injure myself. And BUZZSAWS... don't even get me started, I know its not that complicated but my stoopid boobs keep getting in my way. and yes, I shorten my poi. I know this is stupid of me, but I don't own practice poi per say, just fire poi, so I being kinda hard physically on myself, learning new moves, but its my own fault....

Hello from HALIFAX
Welcome Zissy-
Sorry to hear about the bruises- we've all been there believe me (well apart from the boobs bit- I should be so lucky!) ANYWAY!
Have you tried just spinning one poi and making the crosses BTB? This will really start the muscle memory process you need to feel comfortable reaching around the way that you need to- I'm currently doing something similar to limber myself up for BTB waistwraps.
Hope thats of some help- it will come, justkeep at it and take a break if it all gets too frustrating
Good luck and happy spinning,
Chutney :57
Hello from HALIFAX
big welcome zissy!!
yes chut is right try btb just with one poi.

if i learn a new move i mostly try it by using one poi, its easier for ur muscles, or easier for ur brain......
take good care!
Hello from HALIFAX
welcome to spherculism zissy... :57 just practice the btb stuff for a short while everytime you pick your poi up an yer arms will eventually work it out for themselves. feels weird and tiring to begin with but once the muscle memory's there it gets easier an easier... (says the man who still hits himself with poi all the time)
Hello from HALIFAX
hulloo hulloo and welcome to the land of circles!
new btb stuff is always a struggle, but keep the faith, and use the force. all will be well.... peace
