1 Diablo ;)
Well, it was a toss up between flower stick and a Henry's Jazz diablo-
Seeing as I already have devil sticks (and am shit with them) I figured the flower was a cop out, and I always fancied some diablo fun.
So, the transaction was made (BTW- the guys in Bluewater Kiteshop- Airborn Kites- are really good people and do most forms of juggle, spin type stuff- look them up if your going to the big shopping centre in the quarry 
)
1 day in I can do normal spinning and balancing, the aggresive stick crossing speed ups jobbies (no idea of name and its too late to bother looking), a couple of stick grinds, a few throws, basic suns and catches and some basic cradles (my housemates been learning so I watched him a lot and went from there). This is going to get seriously addictive 
I hope more sphercular diablo players will emerge as I'm finding these first tentative steps loads of fun, and I'd love to share the experience

My friend Raf did some awsome 1 and 2 diablo stuff in front of my video camera t'other day. Shall upload soon to kick start this section.

Good call on the devil sticks version diabolo situation. Diabolo is great fun. Theres and endless amount of tricks that you can do with them. This is a wicked site with a huge amount of flash diabolo tricks. Some cool double diabolo stuff. And then theres This site for when you think your finally getting somewhere with the diabolo. A very disheartening diabolo site
Poi and diabolo do kind of resemble eachother. Certain all the spinning involved. But there also both easy to pick up but pretty much impossibe to master completly. You can get some cool weave shapes and thru wraps on a diabolo. Hm, any diabolo tricks you can do with poi? Anyway would love to seem some diabolo movies online.
Double diabolo is great fun though. I can just keep them going. Nothing with tricks yet. I guess it is kind of a balance hyperloopy type move. Have you seen that "sprinkler" trick with double diabolo. Guess you could call that micro hyperloops

A belated thanks for the links Mot- I've not really played much with my diablo recently (theres a very, very good diablo spinner at Spitz at the moment and I just can't bring myself to to do what I can whilst watching him manipulate in horizontal planes doing perpetual suicides- hes fucking awesome
)
Malcolm at Spitz does some insane stuff involving juggling rings and diablos- I was watching him the other night and was totally aghast- From watching stuff like this, Kevin who poigles and matts stick wibbling variants, the future prospect of true combination or hybrid arts is looking really exciting.

i have recently picked up diabolo and i'm quite addicted. i'm working on satellites under both arms and around the body and also infinite suicides and genocides(no luck on genocides yet). once i was able to accelerate the diabolo properly (sun accelerations i think) i started picking things up pretty quickly. i just got my 2nd finesse g2 and i am working on 2D. diabology has been super helpful. chutney we should meet up seeing as how we are close by and both newish to diabolo although we could probably use someone who could show us some new stuff lol.

Eimhin is awesome with 1 diabolo, have you seen him on the dvd?
