Spinning for a fundraiser

I have a couple cool things coming up in regards to spinning. Last week I signed up to spin in the Fulton Follies on March 11th &12th. This is a fundraiser for the Glove Theater which is a very old theater in the county I live in. It consists of local peformers, e.g. musicians, dance groups, vocalists and people with any talents performing for 3-5 minutes as part of a variety show type thing. There is no winner so it's just for fun. This will be my first time spinning in front of alot of people in a show or for the purpose of entertaining them. Plus it will be my first time on a stage spinning so I am pretty excited! I still am not sure if I should make a routine or not or even what song to spin to. I'll prolly just wing it. It's alot more fun that way.

Last Saturday night I was spinning my beaming balls at a show and ended up having a group of people watching me. After I was done spinning this girl ran up to me all excited. She introduced herself and told me how she liked my spinning. She majors in photography and wants to open up a gallery and she said she wanted to take pictures of me spinning. I gave her my e-mail address and phone number and she said she would get a hold of me by the end of February cause she has been really busy lately. So I don't know if she'll ever get back to me but if she does that would be pretty neat.

I am gonna start a thread in Everything else.... about photographing spinning cause I tried to do a little but I only got a couple of cool pictures. Well I just thought I would share this with all of youse guys.

thats awesome nice one !!! (was she fit?) best of luck in that fundraiser, im sure you'll be great =)

Well the funraiser I spun for went great! Everyone loved it from young kids to retired senior citizens. It was awesome being in front of all those people and getting to perform on a stage. I've decided I'm going to spin in every local talent show and thing I can. I signed up for a talent show to raise money for cancer on April 8th. I think this time my girlfriend and I might make a routine up and spin togther in front of people for the first time.
Oh and the most exciting thing that has happened was I was contacted via e-mail last week by a retired lady in her sixties. She wants to learn the basics of spinning so she can spin with her daughter who I guess has been spinning for a while. She is going to bring one or two people to learn with her. Our first class iis going to be next Monday. I guess she knits and makes costumes so we are just going to trade my teaching for one of her skills which I think is the best way to do it. Well happy spinning everyone.

You're a busy man! All sounds wicked dude, look forward to hearing how it all works out Sphism/smilesmiley
