inside plane ttns

right bear with me for just a minute. iv got an outside butterfly, an inside butterfly (between the fore arm and the waist so that the poi spins in the armpit). then (now im a bit lost by the way) iv got a alternating butterfly and finally ttns. this is where i get a bit confused. i can do it (poi spinning forwards) both forwards and backwards (ttn from inside to outside {both sides} and outside to inside {both sides}) for the life of me i cant figure out the gaps with backward spinning poi.

i can do a 4bt (or whatever) as well (from butterfly - right hand makes circle towards body{inside} and then over the left hand into the 4bt butterfly "gap"

i think thats about it.
right so i was wondering
-how in gods name do u do it backwards
-inside plane to normal plane butterfly weave?
-hyperloop?

anything else about this that someone would be kind enough to tell me about?

thanks guys
Sphism/winksmiley

p.s. i dont think iv ever seen inside plane reels. why the hell not? has anyone else had a play with them?

I haven't gotten good enough with my axis changes to spin a fluid inside reel set.. (that is doing reels using only inside planes..)

however I have gotten all my inside moves (on my list thus far..) and here's the simple part.. can you do a ttn windmill or a ttn corkscrew? because its the same motions as the front of a ttn windmill/ bottom of a ttn corkscrew..

if you are enjoying the inside ttn stuff, then check out the splitthreading stuff.. its a fun pattern with various insides..

u mean above the head? if so then no, iv kinda been meaning to (i remember thinking about it eons ago) i havnt learnt behind the head ttn yet.

im loving the inside ttn stuff, seeing the poi wrap around and through my arms and each other. theres nothing quite like it. :56 :11

iv looked really hard but i cant find anything on splitthreading. do u mean that bf weirdness post? (thats all that came up when i searched for split threading rather than splitthreading.

:2

hrm.. I'm busy tonight.. jsut a fly buy.. but I'll post a llink to it tom.. promise..

as far as what your talking about.. I'm kinda confused the inside ttns.. stay under the arm the whole time.. but I'm probably misunderstanding you.,.

in the meantime... here's some clips of splitthreading.. though I thinkt eh text helps make clear what the old shotty cam/clip does not..

yeah actually iv seen that sideview splitthreading a while ago, it looked strange then and it looks strange now. its 4.15 in the morning tho so i can't really expect my eyes to keep track. ill have a bash at it tomorrow. thats same direction right? is it a basemove or just doing something a bit funny?

right to me an inside butterfly is right infront of my crotch(sorry) and the tips of the butterfly inside my armpits (between bicept and chest) and the bottom hitting my knee line. what iv been doing is alternating from the inside plane to the outside in a threding motion.

i only just now realised that this wouldn't be a ttn. a ttn would stay on the inside plane, right? (bollocks, as if inside butterflys wern't hard enough).

i was doing kinda lika inside to outside alternating butterfly where (going forwards) the poi would go from the bottom of the outside alternating butterfly to the top of the inside plane (armpit) and then go between my hands to the outside plane(poi changing planes at the same time so that they are never in the same plane) so the other poi has just gone to inside plane.

are my descriptions ok 2 follow? makes sense to me but i can see how it could be taken as hyper vague. need to practise graphical representation (id use poibot but its a bit fiddly)

:32 yay bed time :!:

Try 5bt ttn, then try to pull it between your arms as/before it unravells.

A) it could come out and you go back into 5bt ttn OR:

B) Sphism/confusedsmiley:  Sphism/winksmiley

im reading the words but its just not registering, ill have to give it a go.

nope, but hmm i think i may have an idea. just let the motion of the poi thats crossing over a arm continue?

i now can formulate the question that i started this thread for... do 1 bt of an inside ttn and 1bt of an outside ttn. if done repetitivly then what the hell is it.

i may get a vid online tonight but we shall see. if i get my cam linking up to my computer ill vid all the stuff iv been playing with in this area.

inside plane was an explosion for me, gave me so many more places to spin, allowing tons of new patterns. the idea that there is even more stuff is tantalising.

mmmmmmmm ..... poi

nice one dragon..

the split thread is an alternating/threading butterfly pattern (though it can be done same direction using same direction ttns.. )

take your forward butterfly... bring your right over your left hand, and then * bring it to the inner plane for one beat.. now as you turn the right poi back outside, the left one should turn inside and make a loop around the right arm.. (ie. it will come under the right arm bewtween the arms and over the right arm, always facing inside... then as your left hand puses outside, the right will come over the left.. always facing inside.. this should bring you back to the *... lather rinse repeat..

:8 done it again rev Sphism/gigglesmiley . i havn't even practised for half an hour today and iv got something new. and that was mosly this afternoon. seriously i just read ur post and went ahhhhhh, it took me like 2 attempts to get. doing and inside plane circle on the other side of the arm is genius. top stuff. taniwah i apologise, i should have got what you meant, me stupid Sphism/confusedsmiley .

hmmmmm, yes ill definately find a use for that.

hugs all round

glad I could help... Sphism/coolsmiley

heh no need for apology'z.

I was hoping someone would say:

B) Poi gets tangled at the top in a 5bt ttn and spirals into butterfly hyperloop

or

C) none of the above; it actually tangles and wraps both hands (or catch them)

I like 3bt and 5bt, but 3bt seems eaiser to move from plane to plane without tangles. Dantana has a video of that somewhere, a semi newish one, although he prefers the iso version (shhh only took me ages to get it iso'd) 5bt ttn weave iso hyperloop
