This style of video serves a specific purpose, to juxtapose the clinical style of the tutorial videos. It's the mixture of the Emotion and of the Mind.
Then you get to see each individual part spelt out to you.
The community dvd entries will be a mixture of the two.
How do you like the delivery of the video? It streams pretty good huh
This is the same system i'm working on for S2.
Editing this took me 5 or 6 evenings after work and was the first time i'd used this software.

the foot work during some of the utl sequences was jaw dropping, especially accompanied by the strobe effect of the poi. i swear i saw you moonwalking.

Sweet work, matt. Some nice piece of eye candy. What did you use to cut it? Premiere?

you got latest flash version? you can get it from macromedia
it streams from the server so you might have something set not to allow streams, maybe a firewall i dunno.
If that doesn't work i might export it differently.

Does the streaming work for you okay. The video should start playing within about 10 seconds of going to the page. Were you left with a blank black sceen thinking 'this aint working?'
Like i've said before, this is how all videos will be on S2, then we'll make all vids on S1 stream as well. As a side note, this streaming wouldn't be possible on a large scale without a little money because of the software and server needed.
You shouldn't ever need to wait for downloads again.

Hello Matt,
To answer to your question, I wait around 1 or 2 minutes (?) and the video never starts. But it's perhabs because I just change my internet connexion and explorer should be badly configured.
But for my second testing, it works immediately.
I think it's a problem from my computer and not from the website or the video.

Marmotte, you're in luck. I'm buying a new camcorder in a couple weeks, getting some new software to play with and making a whole stack of new videos. They'll all be released in this format because something like 95% of the internet can access them without doing anything special. it's gonna be badass.

Great stuff Matt. Just found this today.
Loved the editing, spinning, 'vibe' etc. of the vid - watched it 3 times now.
What I love best about it is the almost *itchy* long 'crecendo' - it just keeps building and building and then bursts into the steps at the end - incredible.

Hey matt, just trying to check out this vid, but with my isdn connection it d/ls 3 or 4 secs and then pauses to d/l the next segment. Is it possible to rewind at end to watch it all in one smoothness?

once it's downloaded all the way thru it should play the second time fine.
if you right click you get some buttons, you can zoom in and pan around.
