help with hyperloops

hi, I asked my juggling teacher to look up a few sites with hyperloops so he can teach me, he did and he gave me a hyperloop that I can't figure out....
here's what I'm supposed to do

1) 3 or 4 beat weave
2) on one side, instead of crossing my arms, I cross my poi
3) on the other I untangle them

my problem is that the poi stop spinning when I untangle them

HELP ME!!!

oh, and please don't tell me to feel it!

Heyho, the secret to hyperloops in all in the feel  Sphism/winksmiley

check out BoomShanka's description:

& this vid:
http://www.spherculism.com/tutorials/hyperloop/hyperloop_side_MV.html

learning the hyperloop in the vid will help you get the feel, & then play trying to move it across.

Hope that helps

Nice one Morph,

That is exactly the kind of help that poiple need. A link to a description and a link to a vid.

Finally I feel like spherculism is making a real difference.

I didn't check the site all weekend and now today there are way to many posts for me to answer them all. But that's fine because there are now loads of us to answer each others questions.

Also, last week I got back into my practicing and learnt some great new throws and a fundermentally new (to me) way to spin poi.

All through stuff that I learned from everyone here.

And remember... keep your hands the same distance apart throughout the move! Sphism/gigglesmiley

easiest way to learn a hyperloop

take your normal weave whatever beat you do...
then let the poi do on extra spin without your hands moving (this tangles the strings at your poi handles... Thenbring it to the otherside.. and let it unwind on its own.. you can pull if you need help on the unwind... once you learn the timing.. start moving it further down the chain.. before yo ukjnow it.. you've got the hyperloop.....

I found the horizontal ones really easy to learn but they didn't help me understand them.

this is how i got the hang of hyperloops...

http://www.spherculism.com/tutorials/weave/3btW_fakey_MV.html

on this video matts doing fakeys, the way i did it was as they pass each other i made them wrap around each other, then i spun 180 and they unwrapped themselves similar to the way its done on this video

http://www.spherculism.com/tutorials/hyperloop/hyperloop_180turns_MV.html

cause they were going the opposite way to untangling, i'm not sure if that makes sence Sphism/confusedsmiley....

Well man, sorry to say I'm still learning these myself, so only thing I can think of is just keep trying Sphism/smilesmiley

If you spin 180 degrees during a hyperloop you will exit the opposite way to which you entered... just like turning from forwards to backwards weave. You need to work on exiting without doing the turn Sphism/smilesmiley
