this has taken me a while to get around to :oops:
i am cole.
i joined here a while ago.
but then stopped spinning poi and learnt to juggle.
so i've never really posted here much.
i mainly spend my days hijacking hop with random juggling posts and checking in on a few other select wastes of my company's money 
my interest in poi has been rekindled in the past few months so i thought i'd have a peek in here.
i'm *so* glad i did 
hope to meet some of you guys and gals one day.
if i don't already know you that is...
in which case, i hope i get yto see you again soon...
and now i shall rip off durbs' intro format and leave you to ponder one of the deepest paradoxes of the highest science.

location: i live in harlow in essex, but you can find me in london most of the time.
main toys: jugglingballs, jugglingclubs, poi.
other toys: stick/s, meteor, contact juggling.
what i like to do when not juggling: bammy , snowboard (its been *way* too long), acro (newbie), video editing (supernewbie), digital photography (unternewbie), listen to/dance to/play music, watch weird movies and read weirder books.

Hey Coleman, at last an introduction on ¦s¦ ~ we feel truely blessed.
Spherculism is not intended to be just about poi. It's just waiting for the day when someone else says ' hey matt, you want me to make a load of 'blah' tutorials and send you the dv tape so you can cut it all up and host it '
Since you're a juggler with a good knowledge and appriciation for poi i think you should show us some juggling stuff, or at least kick start the juggling forum :53
Can you do 3 clubs with a 2 beat weave underneith ~ that's the one club pattern i'd love to know.
I've been mainly concentrating on 2 diablo recently and i'm finnally getting the hang of it, gonna be fun highlightling the parrallels between poi and diablo in the dvd, especially since diablo players tend to have about as little respect for poi as most jugglers do. Which is funny since all 3 are virtually identical.
In terms of 'conic sections':
poi is the circle,
diablo is the elipse and
juggling is the parabola

matt - feedback on the vid would be great and cheers for the hosting offer but that one probably won't be put up for public viewing anywhere - it'll be just for the other video making heads
i would like to get better, non blurry, better lit footage (and improve my editing skills!) before i put anything out there.
as for juggling, i will happily populate your juggling section with lots of random jabber.
it may just be me talking to meself but i'm pretty used to that.
probably split my posts between here and hop but i guess i could do something like all clubs and rings posts here and all ball posts there (just to make it easier for me to follow what i wrote where!).
the trick you're talking about is called 'mike's mess'.

will be working on it this summer for sure - have never had solid enough 5's (the high throw) and was doing it on triples, but it turns out if you do the cf really quick, it works fine with the 5 as a double

Saw you half a second less than last time BUT I did see BamBam's show and was very impressed! Great costumes too. Continual spinning through several tracks is hard work. They did well

Synergy was good. They played some decent psy trance in the main room. for a while. Hopefully Beltane, Chutney birthday, Synergy will have some properockin music. we shall see, eh?
The most spinning I saw was the uv costumed, LED show at the beginning in the Jedi room. Throughout, I kept losing groups of people, Glastonbury stylee, but fun was had and spinning was spun.
