World class contact poi from the legendary Cyrille. Was lucky enough to go to one of his workshops at ejc 2008 in Karlsruhe, back when he was more hairy
Lots and lots of great poi inspiration in this video.
I know how to do the move but i'm having problems keeping it consitant. think i doin the move correctly but for me to do it i have to raise my my hands and arms when i crossing over. usuall just under level with my head.
Not sure this correct. But it's the only move i'm not 90% conifdent with my fire poi.
Who here has managed 2 conquer anything funky with horzontal hyperloops?
I'v managed to do a wrap thing round my chet and sort of keep it goin the other way, and continualy swap what hands on top every 2/4 spins how about any1 else????
Ok, bare with me, because it may not sound like but I can actualy do quite a load of random tangley stuff, except the butterfly ones, most of them confuse the hell out of me.
So i finished these diagrams at last, only started them about a year ago, then completely forgot, woops,
anyhoo i've already written this post once and somehow managed to not post it. That was about a week ago now.
Well, how do you like the look of these diagrams, granted they aren't quite right yet, there may be some duplication, but i think they could be useful.
Nice slow tune, some box plane stuff, throws, wibbles, wraps, grabs (head catches), tangles and so on. Lots of good stuff in here. music by www.badscience.biz
The second wibbling video, oddles of cool stuff in here. 22Mb tho cos it's the longest tune. Wibbles, Dibbles, 2wibbles and even a few ibbles. And people wonder why i love geeky tech poi so much. music by www.badscience.biz
Seems to be the tangle video. Lots of tangly goodness in here including some great lessons in what happens when you enter the tangle unevenly, Nice Vortex music by www.badscience.biz
Keep in mind this is a first draft. I don't have the time right now to fine tune it as much as I want. I wanted to get something out for you guys now. This just seemed to keep dragging on and on and on and on. I've only begun to dabble in the fun stuff, and apart from theory, I haven't moved this much further than what was in poi goes punk.
Edit : I've upated all these videos because people were having lots of troubles viewing them. They are now all mov files and can be found in the gallery.
I do some hyperloops to get from a weave to a butterfly but cant figure out how to go between butterfly, weave and corkscrew (in any combination) without using wraps. Wraps look good but it would be nice to know some 'clean' transition moves.
