I always used to think chasing the sun was a pointless move and never really liked same-same stuff. I never could feel a good flow with it and really neglected all that can be done with this type of spinning. You can do pretty mucy all the butterfly and weave patterns with this except it's smae time. Why this never dawned on me is beyond me but I am quite obsessed with this stuff right now.

My name is Adam and I have been spinning since about October due to my brother getting into it years ago and going to Burningman for the first time this past year. Starting out by learning meteor and poi and spun both on fire over my Christmas break. Im trying to hold my own by the tyme of the next burn.
:Si have been hunting ye old tinternet for some time,looking for some of the tosses that i have been messing with.throws in a constant rhythm around ones person from various starts and posistions etc..starting to feel a bit alone i the poi diverse.any more avid..um tossers out there?if so give us a shout and save me from my madness.:
The current setup of sections is based upon Matt's original video categories and seems a bit off - some sections are extremely underused (e.g. the freestyling one) and some are exceedingly narrow (e.g. the under the leg one).
Anyone else think we could arrange them a bit better? Something like

in the last 4-5 years i put all my energy in mastering poi moves. some days ago i asked myself.... "and what about staff???" So I bought a nice firestaff and started to practice. it s really really interesting... now i m attached to my staff (and of course to my poi).

In south africa there are not enough spinners, in Cape Town where i am we have a group called firetribe, they do corporate functions etc, but thats it.
Anyways,hope to learn a thing or two from this site.
