so not really enough time to explain this in any detail but from an inwards butterfly, you bring the right hand over the left hand, then under the left leg as you turn 180 degrees while the left hand moves under the right arm and ends up resting aginst the left shin. then you are knotted up and spinning the butterfly, and then you have to tuen another 180 to unknot. fun.

After a fun and fruitful session at Spitz last week a few of us were playing with airwraps and hyperloops entered with one poi being spun UTL (matt does this in the tutorials) as well as jumping about and being sillys
Ive been able to fluently pass under and between my legs using my poi for some time now. But it hasnt been until recently that I started applying direction and momentum shifting into it. By that I mean swing one way, body turns another.
Just a few little tips from my learning experience of these:
- Try starting with the poi spinning butterfly rather than in a weave, I found that then you can concentrate on the leg stuff without having to worry about getting the entry planes. Just step one forward, continue the butterfly straight through and the then step the other forward.
None of the under the leg stuff is done in reverse. It's all done with forward spinning or forward behind the back spinning.
What I mean by forward behind the back spinning is... well say you have eyes in the back of your head, when you look through them it will look like your spinning forward and you do really the same move, just behind your back.
First off, the Under the Leg patterns really aren't too tricky but there are a few things you may wanna keep in mind.
Let's Break it Down:
 Let's say you are spinning 1 poi with your Right hand, and that you are spinning Forwards (i.e if your poi was a wheel it would roll away from you)
 Stand with your feet a little more than shoulder width apart.
